Most underappreciated IMO was Fred Taylor
Most underappreciated by the home team fans who see him game after game? I think so. Brian Williams simply does it well but with no “defining moment” he gets overlooked.

I’ve not seen Williams play LCB or FS. Maybe I’ve missed it since he’s been in Jacksonville or in Minnesota but I’ve not witnessed it.
Brian is solid and pretty consistent but it’s not like his play been at consistent pro bowl level.
And for the money he makes he should be….

If you can play RCB, then you can play LCB.. .who do you think would take Mathis' place if he was injured?
He’s got a build that can be SS or FS, and his coverage skills are equal to his tackling skill… He could play FS, even if he physically had too in an actual game…
Vic seems to agree with me on this btw… he loves B. WIll too.
When’s the last time he was injured? He’s not probowl, but he’s a consistent, solid contributor who always shows up… period…
Don’t try to paint him as a bad signing by Shack… He’s been one of the better signings Shack made.

Don’t use probowl as a barometer for player skill in small markets… fan voting hurts too much.

I'd put my money on Williams but that's becasue he's next on the depth chart.
I’m not saying Williams can’t play FS or LCB I’m just saying I haven’t witnessed it. As for being able to play RCB and that translates into being able to play LCB I don’t think it’s that easy. RCBs are traditionally not as athletic they are “squat corners” if you will, guys that hang back and play the run. So they must be good tacklers, which Williams is.
I’m not using the actual pro bowl as a barometer, we all know it’s a joke. I’m using my own eyes and I don’t think he’s played at a pro bowl level. Forget the voting, fan or otherwise. I’m basing it off what I’ve seen. He’s solid and I think saying he’s more would be stretching it.
Being able to stay healthy is always a good starting point. I think he’s solid but jeeeez I can’t overlook that 35 million dollar contract. I expect more than just “solid” for that money.
No, he’s not been a bad signing, he’s solid but for the money he received he’s falling short. At least that’s my opinion.

I agree he’s not great, but he’s more than solid, and I like him a lot, so I would say my view of him is slightly slanted… I’m interested to hear Chris’ perspective… I think I have a pretty good idea of what’s to come based on our past discussions together…
