You knew it was coming and yet held out hope. But alas, Profootballtalk.com is reporting that Reggie Hayward will require surgery and will be out for the entire year. Predictably, he will be put on IR and paid out thru the end of the year as his entire salary for 2009 is guaranteed. The question that now needs to be asked is whom will replace him? Will the Jags last 2 draft picks from last year be able to rise to the challenge? Who will the Jags look outside the team for help and most likely at least for depth? Or will the Jags run more of a 3-4 defense and use Groves as an outside rush linebacker?
