Tuesday hangovers of Week 1
The team did give an honest effort, at least. Peyton Manning, we have to hope chooses to join a monastery or become a kicker. Sadly, I think this is the last Jaguar game for #97, he probably would fall in cuts next year. The replacement I think should be Jeremy Mincey, he proved worthy in rotation, but probably some other guy they get off the street.
The offense was a bit too vanilla, and the main play that should have been something different was the 2PT try, because had the QB taken the snap, he could've audibled out of the obvious play direction and at least given them a shot, but Maurice Jones-Drew is hitting a litle less hard, though still fast but The Tebow couldn't have driven through the box when it was seriously folks 10 on seven. Nate Hughes was in short motion, he could've fly sweep to the left and sprint for the corner, or Garrard could've been in the backfield calling out the coverage to help out the RB in single-wing, Drew probably with developed single wing and an inch or two could probably be one of the best in the game at it, bu the 1st attempt in Jags regular season at that stage of the game was lunacy. But Kotter and Del RIo both said Garrard panicked and missed the WRs in the seam on several plays, but at this rate people will want McNown by Game six, but I still say they should've gotten Garcia instead. Next week is the cards who do have a better D then the Colts and two of the best WRS in the game when their not complaining about $$$.
Personally i say wait, rookies take time and if all else fails lets seriously start the Tebow bandwagon!

Tuesday hangovers of Week 1
It was a good game and all our rookies starters got a lot of experience in. The tackles got schooled a little by 2 of the best pass rush de’s in the game. Our DT played and held his own against a great center in Jeff Saturday. Derek Cox played well against 1 of the best wr in the game. Yes he got schooled and he bit on a long pass play but he will get better. Right now we are going thru growing pains.
The 2 pt play was something we and the colts never saw before and who is to say Maurice wasn’t suppose to get the ball to Hughes , we will never know. My hangover is over bring on the cardinals

After looking at the 2pt play again...
Against a Colts team that is typically fast not powerful the 2pt play call was a logical decision. It looks to me that the play would have been successful if Monroe had fired off the ball and driven straight ahead. He’s a big dude and he could have gotten a good push at least for a couple of yards. Instead he kind of stood up and tried to do a kick out block . His first step was to stand up and his second step was a pivot backwards. On a power 2pt conversion he should have shot off the ball like the rest of the line. Instead his guy got in the backfield and disrupted the play.
I’m no O-line coach but that’s what I saw. Take a look and decide for yourself.

On another note, does anybody remember when we put Henderson in on goal-line O? What ever happened to that? I seem to remember it working quite well.

That was awesome.
Henderson and Stroud both got some plays in goal-line situations. Can’t stop Big John.

Tebow yes, Mccown no
Garrard should stay as the QB because he is much better than McCown. Garrard is trying to regain his confidence in his Wrs and right now the only sure thing is MJD and rookies making rookie mistakes.

on the 2pt
Hughes was in motion for the endaround, not a fly sweep, but yes it looked too much like a 4th and dust play for my liking
Henderson is too impt to play as a goal line blocker but they couldve used an extra tackle and done it jumbo, there were te\wo TES, MJD, huughes, and garrard to the right
