Don't think the ticket situation is foreshadowing the potential for Jacksonville to lose the Jaguars? Pay close attention to Vic Ketchman's very direct comment on the situation.
"I wish I could tell you there’s a chance enough tickets could be sold for the blackout to be lifted, but there’s no chance of that happening. My concern now is for what will happen when the blackout becomes official this afternoon. Will there be a spike in ticket sales, as is usually the case, or will sales remain flat? The league will watch that very closely. Do the people in this town understand how critical this situation is to the town’s future? That’s the burning question. When I came here in 1995, Jacksonville was regarded as one of the hot spots in the country. It was a community of intense growth and the Jaguars were the centerpiece and symbol of that growth. That perception, however, has changed. The following appeared in the "Baltimore Sun" recently: "I think generally the NFL made a mistake during expansion," said John Moag, former head of the Maryland Stadium Authority, who negotiated the Ravens move from Cleveland after Baltimore was denied a team during the expansion process. "I think they misread growth potential of the Jacksonville market." As you can see, the perception of Jacksonville now is that the growth has stopped and that perception will have a devastating effect on the town’s commerce. It’s a perception that could impact Jacksonville negatively for several generations, and it would’ve never surfaced had these blackouts not occurred. The empty seats in the stadium on Sunday are a big deal."

It's getting ugly
PFT posted one about how we didn’t try for an extension. The comments therein claim that we don’t deserve the Jaguars. What about those of us that are showing up? Why don’t we count? We’re just not enough I guess.
Vae Victis!
I get so disgusted
with the whole Blackout rule. I do understand the whys and all but the Jaguars have a great fanbase and it is not just the ones that show up either. I understand there are those that have the money and are using excuse on top of excuse not to go, But there are also alot of fans that honestly cannot afford to go. Yes, I know that the tickets are only 40 bucks but that 40 is hard to come by for some people and to say that we don’t deserve the team for that makes me sick. I served my country for 7 yrs(2 in Iraq), I get up every day and go to work to put food on the table for my wife and 4 kids and most weeks that’s about all I have enough for. Does that make me less of a fan? I would LOVE to be able to go to a game and someday I probably will, just not anytime soon. Point is, I’m sure the Jags have alot of fans just like me and WE ARE DESERVING! The Jags will make it thru this and the Jag fans will shut the haters up for good. This season is going to be awesome! GO JAGS!!!!
Sorry
for the rant but lately there have been alot of so called “fans” talking alot of smack about fans that don’t go the games. None on this sight was out of line, so I guess this was misdirected but I needed a vent and I am not giving them the satisfaction so, Sorry and thank u!

when
When my husband was in Iraq and Germany for 4 year he prayed that we would go to the payoffs. He save the money to buy the tickets to so he will be able to go . he did everything in he power to get info on them so i sat online and typed him every play as it went so he would know how things was going on messenger. When he came home we was sent to FT CAMPBELL KY and we had to pay for the NFL Sunday ticket so he could watch the games because he loves them so much. We have 4 kids and live pay day to pay day to pay the bills and we can’t afford the tickets to go to a game. BUT WE STILL LOVE THEM …The point of this story is that I know ALOT about the team. YES it has changed some for the better and some for the worse,,,,,,,, BUT we love them now just as much as we loved them then no matter how many players they change. IF YOU ARE A TRUE FAN THEN YOU WILL LOVE THEM NO MATTER WHAT
now
He is still trying to get the money to get tickets to go see them play,,, After all he has done for us I wish i could make that happen for him some way some how
