How we look to the Texans
I wrote how enamored theTexans were with themselves after beating Tennessee. Here is the proof. I have to admit this is a pretty funny article. The one thing I kept asking myself when I read it, "yea, but what if the Jaguars win?".

I read this a few days ago...
How lame. Wouldn’t it be poetic justice to spoil the Texans hopes? I think the Jags can get it done. It’s time to set the story straight about Tebow. No one wants to lose. Drafting Tim would be cool, but not at any cost. That’s ridiculous. If the Jaguars don’t draft him, if they don’t even sniff in his general direction, you won’t hear peep from me. Why? Because I don’t cry about stupid crap. You win some you lose some. You don’t always get what you want. Anyone who hasn’t adjusted to those facts has some growing up to do. If Tim comes home to Jax, or moves to Branson to start a church, I’ll support him. This isn’t about him. It’s about our team, right now. GO JAGUARS!!! Lets herd the cattle to the loss column.

If there is any team that KNOWS they can be beat...
…it’s the Texans.
I swear the phrase “Any Given Sunday” has special application to us. And we usually lay an egg after a big win.
I know we “should” win this game, but I have every reason to expect that the outcome could be wildly different from what is expected.
In a way it is like a masochistic circle of pain. The Texans are a fun team to wach, sadly, in part, because you NEVER know what you are going to get.
Now, having said that….
GO TEXANS!!

The Texans are a good team just very inconsistent.
They always come ready to terrorize the Jaguars. They make it a special event but the Jaguars always seem to help them.

Im tired
Im tired of the draft Tebow talk. He is probably the best college player ever but what is it about his game that says he can make the transition to the NFL where every player is better than who he has faced in college. I seriously doubt that any team sees him going higher than the 2nd round.

I'll tell you.
He is a golden boy and he is from Jacksonville Florida.
I agree with you though as nothing strikes me about his game. He is like a David Garrard Beta.

which is itself a podunk little scrub town….

I'm from White House
It’s country. Jacksonville may not be up to your standards, but it’s not as country as many would like to believe. We are rich with culture if you put aside your fear, if you are willing to open your mind. I now live in a predominately black neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Jacksonville. Folks around here take a lot of pride in being from Duval. We love Jacksonville, we love our roots. Maybe you should find yours. It may make you happy.

I wouldn't read too much into this
Most of us at BRB are pretty aware of how many new and unique ways the Texans can lose a game (Rosencopter?). Just check out the in-game threads from last year (including games we won). We’re a pretty negative bunch, actually.
Plus, isn’t a little pre-game smack talk part of the fun?

agreed about the pre-game smack down talk. everyone does it, but every team’s site whines about it when their opponent does it too. hypocrites, i tell ya! haha

I like the smack.
Just want them to show up on BRB on Mondays to take their punishment. I won’t dissapear if Jags manage to beat us on Sunday.

I hope this does't come off as smug
because we just went through a losing season and are now 0-2; but fans of losing teams are the best. Seriously!
I can think of a ton of reasons, as to why this is so. For instance they are funny a heck. Anyone remember the Redskins thread from the preseason game against them. And they are obviously not front runners, aka fairweather fans. Also they are usually not cockly sons-uhguns, which I hate. For instance I hate hate Pats fans, and Colts fans. Effing smug wannabe knowitalls. (What’s up with the hate Edward?) I digress and repeat, fans of losing teams are the best.

I have my first Jaguar on my fantasy team, I have to admit it.
Mike Sims, I need you to do it big man. Houston sucks against the run, so I can see a lot of play action in your future.
Yo.

He's gone straight into being a starter
Which says as much about our linebacking corps (outside of DeMeco) as it does about him. He’s got good tools: he’s fast, he has a great motor and he is pretty smart. On the downside, he tend to overpursue, leaving cutback holes for running backs to exploit.
When he was drafted a lot of very knowledgeable people at BRB didn’t like the pick at all. Personally, I was kind of neutral on him. However, with his play against the Tits (particularly in the fourth quarter) he is starting to win over some of the skeptics.
All in all, I’m pretty pleased with him, but he is a rookie, so he still has lots to learn. Today will be a big test for him, what with MJD coming to town.
