Texans inactives

Dan Orlvosky, Andre Davis, Antwaun Molden, Jacques Reeves, Antoine Caldwell, Anthony Hill, Frank Odam, Bernard Pollard

So we must not worry about Pollard…

Good.

Seems like Andre Davis always murders us on 14 different plays a game.

by Blair72 on Sep 27, 2009 12:26 PM EDT up reply actions

Hope to see

more of a running game today…we can’t have David throw 40 plus and expect to win

by shortjag on Sep 27, 2009 12:26 PM EDT reply actions

Unless he throws well?

We can’t run it 500 times either. We need to move the ball both on the ground and through the air.

by KeithG on Sep 27, 2009 12:28 PM EDT up reply actions

It is

the recievers we need to wrry about…

by shortjag on Sep 27, 2009 12:31 PM EDT up reply actions

Agreed

Personally, all the Garrard bashing is unfair. We lead the league in dropped on-target passes.

by KeithG on Sep 27, 2009 12:32 PM EDT up reply actions

After the pain of last weeks lose, I have come back around to Dave!

It wasn’t his fault, he needs his recievers to get open and catch and his line to protect a heck of a lot better than they have recently.

by keeftan on Sep 27, 2009 12:53 PM EDT up reply actions

Brian Iwuh inactive??

Anyone know why? Jeez, that is not good for our ST, or LB backups.

by KeithG on Sep 27, 2009 12:27 PM EDT reply actions

Iwuh violated team rules

Lageman i think thought it might be curfew

I could be wrong, but this offense has, at times, looked pretty disjointed. It seems like they’re getting in rhythm now, and the o-line is getting some push.

Too inconsistent. It seems to always be the theme.

I like the way the offense looks at times, but the defense is letting Johnson stay open. Daniels and Walters have been huge. Our run defense looks great, but we can’t have any more injuries.

On a different note, SF just blocked a MN field goal and ran it back like 70 yards for a TD

by Blair72 on Sep 27, 2009 2:37 PM EDT reply actions

Halftime Grades

QB: B+, Garrard’s played great
RB: B, they need more touches
WR/TE: B, they’re getting open
OL: C, Losing Britton was huge

DL: C-, Doing a good job against a bad running team, need to finish the pass rush…always late
LBs: B, they’re the heart of the defense
Secondary: C-, too may guys running free and getting open…a better pass rush (ie not just hurries) would knock the score up.

Ignore the hype; look at the results.
