The hit that got Maurice
We may want to remember the name - Fred Smoot. Fred is in his 8th year and is the Redskins second string LCB.
Torry Holt cleared out the flat and Maurice came in. You can see Fred going low with a helmet on the leg. Maurice wasn't happy about him going low. I don't know if this is a dirty play or not, so I leave it up to you.

Thanks for the picture Terry
I hope Maurice has no problem with that leg at this moment!

Yeah.
Looks like Smoot expected MJD to be another half step forward in order to make a shoulder tackle, but ended up putting his head into MJD’s thigh. Hey, these things happen.
It's Absolutely Clean
Even in high school as a defensive back you are taught to go for better running backs legs/knees. It’s hard to run with sore legs. Thats why running backs do hate it so much.

Oh Yeah
He’s gonna complain. Running backs absolutely hate that when they get their legs hit. But the hit was textbook for a corner trying to tackle a strong, explosive player.
