Play of the Year Nominees
Well, it's time to remember the best of the Jaguars in 2009. These are the plays that made us proud to be Jaguar fans and showed us that maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. What play stood out to you the most? Tell us what you think. The top nominees will then be put to a vote sometime next week. Also, if you're thinking of nominating things like the blocked FG vs Arizona, Chris Johnson running wild, or Reggie Nelson relegating the Jags to playing with 10 players on defense, we'll have another category for those plays.
Here are my nominees.
1. Jones-Drew takes a knee at the one
2. MJD going yard twice against the Titans
3.
3.Mike Sims-Walker all alone vs the Chiefs
4. Chris Brown Jaguars 2009 MVP
Go to 3:47 for the relevant play

I think
the 1. was THE MOMENT of 2009 for the Jaguars!
(I like the 4th too-poor kid-The texans would be in the playoffs if…)

Should you have a poll for this?

What about...
Some of the plays against the Colts were very good (MJD TD catch early, Sims-Walker TD catch, Mike Thomas TD catch).
There’s also the play where Groves picks off the screen pass and takes it back only to trip at the 10 yard line.

MJD’s kneeling down at the 1 yd line vs the Jets was, IMO, the most talked about play of the day that was a great, self-less moment for the team, organization, and fans.

That is the number one
play of the season.
However, I think that pass to Nate Hughes against the Houston Texans was a thing of beauty.
MJD was also part of a few scrums that were pretty cool, including that TD he had against the Chiefs.

Wow Zach Miller is fast!
View the MJD 80 yard clip and watch #86 run past everyone to make a down field block.

I remember
him doing that. He’s got a great second gear.

it's just amazing
because you know MJD is running full out at that point, and certainly the defenders trying to catch him are, and he makes everyone look like they’re standing still.

I don't think
MJD was running his fastest. He was setting up his blocks. Not to mention MJD was trying to accelerate and Miller was already in full stride trying to get in front. He is flying though.

Garrard gets down there too.
He’s done that a couple of times this year.

How about
the MSW game winning TD vs. the Bills

Troy Williamson
Preseason TD pass first play of the game. Easily the best thing all year.

That was probably
one of the most awesomest incrediblest passes I have ever seen. 74 yds! That ball was up there like 75 yds, being that he was about 10 yds behind the LOS and a few yds of YAC.
