Jaguars expected to play Courtney Greene and Don Carey at safety
According to Vito Stellino and Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union, via Twitter, we should expect the Jacksonville Jaguars to start Courtney Greene and Don Carey at the safety spots.
Little surprised Gerald Alexander isn't starting, but the Jaguars safety position has been such a revolving door it likely won't matter much.
UPDATE:
Actually, according to Stellino it sounds like Gerald Alexander will remain a starter, with Greene and Carey rotating at the other spot.
The Jaguars, who have switched starters at safety all season, will play Courtney Greene and Don Carey at strong safety against the Titans tonight. Gerald Alexander will remain the starter at free safety.

I wonder if this has something to do with the fact
that Alexander can’t catch? Anthony Smith is a pretty big loss in the secondary because of his run support and since he is a young veteran. We did get a draft pick for him, though. I will be watching this very closely. Someone called this Don Carey move to safety early, who was it?
I hope both of them can at least tackle
We don’t need a repeat of last year, when nobody could tackle Chris Johnson.
You can't reason with unreasonable people.
Smith
isn’t really the tackler that tackles the gazelles as much as he likes to tackle bulls, if you know what I mean. I think the crucial player for this match-up is Justin Durant, because of his speed at LB.
True. Durant is a big factor in this game.
Secondly this is the money game for Alualu and Knighton. Are they better than the interior line of the titans?
they could be
but hopefully they aren’t.
for some reason our interior O-Line has been bad for some reason, but i hope we have gotten it fixed before we have to play you guys

BY the way
The Michael Hamlin signing is making much more sense now. I bet he will be on the active roster next week and Null will be back – again

Maybe
I’m hoping. He has the physical skills. We’ll see if he has the part between the ears. I’d also like to see him get off a block or 2 before I consider him a long term solution.
I agree.
The vibe I’ve been getting from Don Carey (excluding his serviceable performance last week) is the same vibe I got from Derek Cox during the Denver game. He seems to be hesitating and over-thinking, kind of like he’s trying to play off of thoughts as opposed to instincts. That sounds confusing, but I can’t really think of a better way to describe it. It’s as if, instead of just going with it, he’s playing chess and thinking about possibilities/counters, etc, thus slowing him down.
you can say that about quite a few players on the jaguars
The qb, Zach Miller, the secondary, interior line, coaching staff…
When we just do and don’t think out there, we are a hell of a force. Funny thing is yesterday it seemed like a team would have something go against them, like a penalty, fumble, close first down conversion and it seemed like the very next play, they were torched for a TD. So much of the game is between the ears it’s ridiculous. I mean is there really a huge drop off between the top ranked running back and 10th?
