Who are the players, their owner and their coach. They are Jaguars, but who are these Jaguars? Are they the team keeps up with the Colts year after year, are they the ones who come back and beat the terrible Bills, or are they the team who got nearly 100 points scored on them by the Eagle, Titans, and Chargers while putting up less than 20 points themselves.
There is no doubt that our secondary is swish cheese, our interior offensive line is old, and our QB is mediocre. However, you can't ignore the young talent on this team. MJD, MSW, Marcdes, Cox, Knighton, Alualu, and Karim are all players who have shown flashes or more than flashes. There countless of other young guys have serious potential on this team. It's a mistake to say all of the blame is on Del Rio, but he is mediocre at best. Many people will just blame Garrard or just the coaching, but it's both. Hopefully both will be changed, in the form of a new head coach and QB within the first two rounds of next years draft.
No team should be as inconsistent as we are. There is only one thing to change that, as Del Rio is not going to change, which is purely evident in this season. What I saw on the field in the Eagles, Titans, and Chargers games was an awful product. Anyone wonder why we have trouble selling out the stadium, when our team looks sloppy and unprepared? I have heard plenty of grumblings of, "I can take a loss, I just can't take this." I did not have fun at the game last night. It was awful and I preferred the company of those sitting next to me while talking about what's wrong with this team rather than to see the shit that was put in teal for my "entertainment.
Why would a rational person continue to buy season tickets if they aren't enjoying themselves, simple economics. The Jaguar product needs to improve and that starts with the coaching staff. Not to mention that the only way to maintain ticket sales this off season may be the glitz and glam around a new HC and QB, but that would just be a bonus.
