Jaguars announce "Teal Monday"
Today at a press conference, Team Teal headed by former Jacksonville Jaguar Tony Boselli, announced that October 18th has been declared "Teal Monday". The Mayor of Jacksonville, Florida, John Peyton, announced today that officially it will be known as "Teal Monday," similar to what the Jaguars did last year for the Thursday Night match up with the Indianapolis Colts.
There will be fireworks, bands playing, wiggle sticks handed out, and a laser show.Laser show's are generally pretty rad.
The game will also be shown live in "Teal Town," outside of EverBank Field as long as the blackout is lifted.
As of yesterday, the Jaguars need to sell 6,071 tickets for the Monday Night game to not be blacked out. The Jaguars have yet to have a black out this season, and have only five more home games left. All five home games have at least 6,000 tickets to sell to meet the black out number, however.

I have..
Home games have been determined to be teal all the time, and I think SD wore white which is why we wore teal. All the better I LOVE TEAL!! It definitely shows who you root for with no doubts!
I'll be your dog, just don't treat me like one....
I want them to bring back the Black alternate jerseys
I know early in the season its too hot. But we have had our new ones for 2 years now, can they come up with a re-vamped black kit for the fall and winter games? Then we could stick it to the media by calling it a BLACKOUT, lol!
i'm with ya
but when wayne was introducing the new uniforms he said they were simplifying them and doing away with the “different color combinations”. this meant no all black or no black pants with the teal jerseys. but yeah, i like the all black personally, and i would be interested to see a new black uniform with the new style uniforms.
I remember that too...
When I heard that he said that I was a little disapointed, but maybe if we drum up enough support we can get him to change his mind. Most of the other teams have a 3rd color, why not the Jags…? I
white jerseys
They’re not visually appealing. A cross between the prison guards unis in Longest Yard with the font in Rollerball. I liked the idea Vic floated about teal pants. In fact, I would not be shocked at all if the Jags had a “battle teal” look in store for the Monday nighter.
Just to be safe, I’m wearing my teal Jags shorts under the hula skirt for the Titans game. Special occasions mandate the wearing of the hula skirt and coconut bra and the #93 jersey and the Titans game is such an occasion. I’ll be the a-hole with the cauldron of chili in Tailgaters. Drop by.
I posted an interview a few days after the Broncos game.
It was my Hasselhoff eating the cheeseburger moment.
Took your recommendation on Tailgaters
I got L41 reserved! I’ll have to stop by and get some chili! Feel free to come over and have a brat. Real men wear skirts, haha!
Coach Crennel, if all of your Coors Lights can talk what happens when you open your fridge? There's generally "Hoopla" involved.
Also, I like the battle teal idea
They couldn’t do it alot, but on MNF I think it would be awesome. Kind of like how the Texans rocked their Battle Reds when then smoked us on MNF a couple years ago.

Actually
IMO, the white jersey and black pants, are really nice, i like them, black and white are classic colors, and look great always.

Ugh, please no teal pants!
I miss the all blacks personally. I think some variation on them would look great in our new style jerseys.
Flyin’ home for MNF. See you in lot K! Can’t Wait!
I'm with you on that Rusty
Bring back the black!
I've wanted
teal pants for awhile now, although at first it wasn’t appealing to me until this “team teal” thing started and the other teal themes that came along with it. I think it would be great for the fanbase and great for the city. Although I did like the all black look as well, and I kind of miss those too. Anyway I even asked Vic about the teal pants a few weeks back- here it is (i put I was from jacksonville because he never seems to answer my questions when i put Rochester, NY):
Dan from Jacksonville
I know you hate uniform questions, but since Matt from Jacksonville broke the ice, I figured now it’s OK to keep them coming. You mentioned on "Jaguars This Week" that you like the idea of teal pants. Has anyone inside the organization hinted at the fact that we might one day see them?
Vic: Based on the teal shorts look I saw in training camp, I like the teal pants idea because I’ll favor anything that puts more teal and less black into the Jaguars’ uniform. Teal is the team’s identity and it should be its featured color. It’s my understanding that equipment manager Drew Hampton had some teal pants made for the team to consider a few years ago. I’ve been told they looked pretty good but the team wasn’t ready to pull the trigger on something that radical. You have to consider, of course, the heat factor. You don’t want the players’ legs to get hot. Comfort is always the first concern. Maybe the Jaguars can get something in a light-colored, loose-fitting linen. Nothing says Jacksonville like linen.
They need to hand out
the Teal Now-or-Later’s they gave out back in 1995 for the first game. Everyone in the stadium had a Teal tongue like the Jaguar in the stadium video.
DG is the best we have and help is not on the way. I realize he's not perfect, but I feel a lot better about him at QB than I do the O-Line, DB's, or LB's ability to cover a TE.
I liked the black jersies, and the teal jersies
I disagree with Vic, black is one of the colors of the jaguars. I never liked the white jersies.

But this is the game my son and I look forward to every year. Sitting in this stadium and watching the Titans win is the single most gut wrenching feeling I’ve ever encountered. I respect Fisher, loathe VY and will never forget being in the N End Zone for the 1999 AFCC game. It is a friendly hatred that I cherish because it makes the game that much better.

oh, wait a minute, you meant the coach.
I too was at the 1999 AFC Championship game. My wife (then fiancee) and I somehow managed to get through to Ticketmaster and got tickets because it was like a once in a lifetime event. Funny how it’s worked out. Anyway I remember the tailgating in my Carnell Lake jersey and then the game. Then…. “ladies and gentlemen, KC and the Sunshine Band” and things took a horrible turn.
I seem to recall there was some back story to that game and the team coming out flat. Are you aware of anything like a locker room fight or something?
