Jaguars add Slade Norris and his awesome name to the practice squad.
According to Mark Long of the AP via Twitter, the Jacksonville Jaguars have added linebacker Slade Norristo the practice squad. To make room, cornerback John Destin was waived. Norris played college football at Oregon State University and was a 4h Round pick of the Oakland Raiders in 2009. He was released by the Raiders at the end of their 2009 training camp and later added to the practice squad. He was placed on injured reserve in December of 2009 with a hamstring injury.
The Raiders waived him in September 2010 and was added to the Seattle Seahawks who later waived him. Norris played safety, linebacker, and defensive end at Oregon State. I can neither confirm nor deny if Slade is related to Chuck Norris.

Slade Norris doesn't tackle players
They fall down in fear of getting hit by him.
You can't reason with unreasonable people.
Chuck Norris Would Make a Helluva Safety
No worries about head to head contact, unless we’re talkin’ head butts. And no worries about dancing after a tackle.
Jags ticket holder since 1995.
If at first you don't succeed, call Slade Norris. He'll tackle your problem into submission.
