gotta say I really liked the grey helmets. Too bad the Jaguar folks didn’t, but I guess I see some similarities and being that Ford owns the Jaguar as well as the Lions…

So many memories.

What a great time it was back then

everyone in the City loved the Jaguars.

Though I still remember seeing people decked out in full Gators clothing on game day…

DG is the best we have and help is not on the way. I realize he's not perfect, but I feel a lot better about him at QB than I do the O-Line, DB's, or LB's ability to cover a TE.

Hopefully the fall of the Gators

this season will help out.

Just can’t get the image of people wearing orange pants and blue Gators polo’s into the stadium on Sunday.

at least they’re not yelling “Tebow, Tebow” everytime Garrard throws an incompletion anymore.

I moved to Jax from NYC in 2004...

and, admittedly, knew nothing about the Jaguars. (I was a Jets fan) My wife and I got season tickets for the ’04 season, and have had them ever since. She hated the NFL until we started bonding at tailgates with friends. My son is 2, but growing up, and already has an extensive collection of Jaguar shirts and autographs, and I cannot wait to be at games with him – and watch the Jags win. I also got a free trip to the ProBowl from the Jaguars and took my best friend – my brother – a NYC detective (and Jet fan).

The Jaguars have given me more than I could ever expect from a professional team. I love the Jaguars. Thank goodness this day happened years ago.

I think my only memories that are bigger

than the teal tongue first game was the first win against Pittsburgh, Morton’s miss, the wins at Buffalo and Denver, and the Dan Marino send-off blowout.

1998 was my season living last in Jax and 1999 was my last as a season ticket holder(still attended all of the games) but I’ll be a fan as long as the team is in Jacksonville.

my favorite memories

sitting in the sweltering heat in my CNT whites when we got the tickets for the Navy personnel when we played the Jets and Vinny got hurt and Pennington debuted. By the third quarter I was barefoot, wearing the pants only and my cover like Gilligan.

1996 – being one of the original Sneakers fans who got drunk at the bar and asked really stupid questions. “My question is for Mr. Brunell. 4th and 20 from the 5 and you punt. I saw an opening there where we could have run the fake. What are your thoughts?” One time after the show I bitched to Boselli because my potato skins were too cold and lacked cheese. Then the win streak the playoff run and the team goes Hollywood on the true blues. In hindsight, they really didn’t owe us a damn thing as they were very entertaining, but the relationship we had in the early days with the team was cool. I ran into Kevin Hardy and Tony Brackens at Crawdaddy’s one day for brunch back in the day. We were sloshed but those guys couldn’t have been nicer.

Saints game around Christmas. After way too much egg nog and Jack before the game, had to go to the bathroom late in the fourth quarter. While there, New Orleans does a Cal-Stanford imitation and gets the touchdown to be down 1. As I zip up and run out, John Carney kicks the extra point wide and we win.

AFC Championship – things are looking up. All of a sudden, I hear those fateful words, “Ladies and gentlemen, we proudly present KC and the Sunshine Band.” I knew at that point we were done. A safety and a kickoff return later, we lose 33-14. If one of the writers has some info about the infamous locker room meltdown, I’d love to hear it.

Skins preseason game last year – went up to Boselli after the game during the radio show and said “nice to meet you. I eat at Whataburger 3 times a day everyday.” He laughs and says you’re a good man.

and my favorite was the interview with that idiot from CSS before the Broncos game.

I go to have fun, a few drinks and some damn good food. Tell me any other event you can do that on Sundays.

Where were you?

I remember sitting at the base of the Mathews Bridge in heavy traffic on the way home as Paul Taglibue made the announcement. Everyone starting honking their horns and yelling out their windows. It’s a moment I’ll definitely never forget.
