My Prediction
Week 9: Bye
Week 10: Houston Texans(Home)- This will be a tough game for both teams, to win this game, you have to force the texans to turnover the ball. They can hurt you by passing the ball or running it. If we can stop Foster early they will concentrate more on the pass, they'll be more one dimensional, and it'll be much easier to cover. Jags win 35-31.
Week 11: Cleveland Browns(Home)- They are (2-5), with New England coming this week, and the New York Jets, coming the following week. These guys can't catch a break....they did beat the saints, but they will probably be 2-7, by the time we see them, desperate for a win, and if we gash them, they are going to be like the cowboys of last week. Why can't the season be finished already? They are 28th in passing, but surely that can turn to top 20 after they verse the Jags. Rushing they are 19th. They key to winning this game is clear, stop the run, and force them to pass. Jags win it 28-17
Week 12: New York Giants(away)- I'm hoping we win this, because I live in New Jersey, and I take a lot of **** for being a jags fan, in an area, where you either like the giants, the jets, or the eagles. This is goign to be a loss. The Giants are eigth in in passing, and seventh in rushing. Good Luck Jags! Jags lose 24-10.
Week 13: Tennessee Titans(away)- I think the Jags will put put up a better performance then the last one, but will still lose. Everytime we got them to third down, what did they do, throw in David Jones' direction, they didn't have to worry. Vince Young can throw the ball up and run over to the sideline, to discuss the next play. Now with Randy Moss, Cox on Randy, and Rashean on Kenny, and David on Nate. So they will have a threat in the passing game, and in the rushing game. Too much for JDR to handle. Jags lose 34-14
Week 14:Oakland Raiders(Home)- Oakland has a lot of trouble putting the ball in the air, and they are carried by their running game, second in the league. They also have the 5th pass defense, and 26th run defense... to win this game Mojo has to get going early. It's got to be run, run, run(first down) run pass. <---serious lol. Jags win 21-20
Week 15: Indianapolis Colts(Away)- I'm sorry to inform you guys this, but the colts have all their receivers healthy now, so unless they are going to the mall together, and some Jags fan hits them with an 18 wheeler.....its a loss. Peyton will pass all over us, and then they will run it on us, when were allon the pass.
Week 16: Washington Redskins(Home)- We need to stop their pass, and make them run it right at us...Torain is ok(backup on fantasy lol) but he wont be able to run through us. Clinton Portis may be back by that time anyway. Their defense sucks...30th in the pass, 20th in the run, this will be a more balanced offensive gam, eplan. Jags win 30- 14
Week 17: Houston Texans(Away)-This game could mean playoffs for both teams, 13th in pass, 6h in rushing. We will have a lot of trouble containing Arian Foster. Matt Schaub, will have a record day. Jags lose 35-21
Final Record: 8-8. Any of thse predictions can be wrong or right...due to the inconsistency of our team.
Marcedes Lewis
As Kterr posted " Marcedes Lewis is a pro bowler. The only pick of the Shack Haris era(first round) that we got something good out of, of course MJD too. Marcedes Lewis has 25 receptions, for 326 yards, and 7 touchdowns. The seven TDs is tied for third for the most in the NFL. Antonio Gates has 40 receptions, 663 yards, and 9 touchdowns. I beleive that two Tight ends make the pro bowl every year(for both conferences). Clearly Antonio Gates, will make it. With Dallas Clark on IR, Marcedes will make it, if he keeps it up.
Rashean Mathis
Everyone keeps saying Rashean isn't playing like he wants a contract extension. But he really isn't do that bad. Miles Austion had a great day last weekend, but if you watch some tape, Rashean was always right next to him, or right behind him, but the ball was placed perfectly, and Rashean couldn't make a move on the ball. I play corner with my friends just like him, he is one of gthose guy, that leaves you open a little, so you throw the ball, and he jumps the route and picks it. That hasn't been working fior him this year, and it never works for me because im very slow. His interception was good though. He watched his eyes, and as soon as he saw the receiver slant(in the corner of his eye), and the QBs head turn his dirction, he jumped the route, and he picked the ball off. Good job Rashean.
Derek Cox
Derek had a good day, 6 tackles, 2 picks, and 3 passes defensed. One of those passes defensed was a dropped pick. The commentators didn't see it. Kitna threw it up into the endzone for Dez Bryant, Dez Bryants reached out, and underneath him was Derek Cox, Cox reached his hands out, and the ball hit him square in the hands. Besides that, he knocked ball down, came in tackled Marion Barber for a loss, and was aware, and grabbed two balls, that went through the receivers' hands. If Cox plays like that every week, receivers better look out, because they'll fiund themselves, a castaway on Cox Island.
