thats not a good injury report for us..

durant, greene, mjd, manuwai all dnp (even though they will prob play), and it looks like the colts are getting back collie, addai and clint session..UGHH

For Indy

They will get back Collie. But if they get back Addai- look out. If he is back Jags must focus on stop the run- and then I think it will be extremly hard for the Jags

MJd is scares me a bit. I know he will be fine; but that is send me some flags about his health for me…

Didn't MJD sit out a day last week too?

And I’m sorry, I just don’t think Addai is that much of an upgrade. Their O-line is their problem. Not the RB.

DG is the best we have and help is not on the way. I realize he's not perfect, but I feel a lot better about him at QB than I do the O-Line, DB's, or LB's ability to cover a TE.

No

I think

Addai is an upgrade in the passing game. Peyton trusts Addai to block his blind side. I don’t think he trusts anyone else.

by Ewdtrey on Dec 15, 2010 8:05 PM EST up reply actions

That's also why I fear

if he plays on Sunday. All of sudden- they are 2 dimensional; and the Jags must focus on the running game too.

Addai is so hit or miss though

Not saying Addai isn’t a good player but he is such a streaky player…and i believe he won’t bring much to a run game for the colts… just my opinion

Jennings at the 30, at the 20, at the 10. TOUCHDOWN RASHAD JENNINGS!!

I would be more worried about Addai receiving than running with the football.

watching the replay on NFL Network

he took quite a beating Snday. Needs the rest, we know what he’s capable of. On another note, I thought it was amazing the speed with which Jennings hits the corner.

Addai helps the O Line...

he’s a great blocker. Plus his hands are money. Look for passes in the back field to compensate for the lack of running game (thanks to our O Line)

only thing

neck injuries tend to show a guy that he is in fact mortal. One good block may put a scare into him. The hit he took in the Skins game was a little tough to watch.

great signature by the way

one of the funniest appearances by a QB ever.

I hope

That Greene and Durant will play, we need them more than ever, Payton loves to get the TE down the seem and this will be the week that we need our best LBers and safeties out there, esp. since we have Russel “concrete shoes” Allen out there, we need to play better. This is the most important game of our season, maybe in the last 5 years. I hope our young players know this and hope they will rise up.

Also, guys dont worry about MJD he is just getting his rest.

by Demetrius82 on Dec 15, 2010 8:18 PM EST reply actions

Same with Manny

He rested last week too. They have to assign an injury name to it, so that is what they did I am assuming. Manny of course actually has a foot injury but it is not major. Only 2 I am really worried about are Greene with the Shoulder and Durant with the groin. Man that guy cant stay healthy can he?

by Demetrius82 on Dec 15, 2010 8:20 PM EST reply actions

Ultimately

I think it will be the reason Durant wont be re-signed to a long term contract.

by Ewdtrey on Dec 15, 2010 8:30 PM EST up reply actions

Addai?

How many times have the Jags KNOCKED him out?

This is a must win game and the Jags must play MAUL BALL…Key match up is Vinny vs andy DT they put in front of him…that will leave one on one with Greg Jones with MLB Brackens; advantage Jags

Vinny

vs any DT is not a key matchup. He’s gonna dominate anyone across from him. Who’s gonna block Robert Mathis is going to be key. Another key is covering Tamme due to the injuries to Durant and Greene. Also, who’s gonna cover Garcon.

by Ewdtrey on Dec 15, 2010 9:11 PM EST up reply actions

A Key Matchup

would probably be Mincey and whoever is blocking him. If he can get pressure or another sack on Manning, the game will go that much easier for us.

Jaguars in the Playoffs? How can it be?

by TheTealDeal on Dec 15, 2010 9:45 PM EST up reply actions

That's a good point...

Do you think they stick in cover 2, or do they man up Rashean and Cox on Wayne and Garcon? Who are you more concerned about in our coverage?

WTF IS THE INTERNET?!?

by BIBBEE on Dec 16, 2010 3:45 PM EST up reply actions

Vinny match up IS huge...

I’m sure the Colts have watch the tape and will TRY to figure out a way to diffuse him. So, yes, that is a KEY match up as it will go a LONG way on how the game. If Vinny comes in and is unstoppable look for a more control style play (keeping PM on the bench). Vinny play will allow the Jags to double Freeney and give DG more time to throw the ball. So, Vinny is HUGE in this game.

BTW, Greene is not cover S (not yet in his short career) and Jags usually put Carey on TE’s. I think Middleton can guard Garcon; he’s been playing stellar over the last few weeks.

On Defense it will be Pot Roast vs Saturday. If Pot kills Saturday (double teams will come) that would put everybody else (Mincey, Alualu, Lane, Harvey) in one on one match ups…should be a great game.

Greene

has been covering TE’s, and he’s been doing it well.
Middleton has been playing really well, but he’s only a NB, and Garcon doesn’t line up in the slot.

by Ewdtrey on Dec 16, 2010 2:10 AM EST up reply actions

Hate to go back and forth (lol), but I know I've seen

Garçon in the slot when Collie and Wayne is in the game and the primarily PUT Carey on TEs…anyway, whatever it is matchup wise, let’s hope the jags come out with a W; bottom line.

Defensive line

I would say this game comes down to Alualu and Knighton collapsing the pocket and getting in PM’s face.
