It's hard for me to give out Sprint Game Balls after crushing defeats like Sunday, typically I'd rather just kick someone in the balls. There was a player on defense however, who just had a fantastic performance and actually earned being spared of a swift kick to the nether regions, linebacker Daryl Smith.

Smith ended the game with 20 tackles, two for a loss, and a sack according to the team. He was all over the field and he needed to be. Someone had to make up for the atrocious play of safeties Sean Considine and Don Carey. Smith was in on virtually every defensive play Sunday. He's played at an extremely high level for much of the season.
