Washington Redskins put Phillip Daniels and Ma'ake Kemoeatu on IR.
According to Jason LaCanfora via his Twitter feed, the Washington Redskins have placed defensive end Phillip Danielsand nose tackle Ma'ake Kemoeatu on injured reserve today. That's two more veteran defensive lineman out against the Jaguarsfor the Redskins. Defensive end Kedric Gholston was also out last week for the Redskins with a groin injury, so this should help the Jaguars rushing the football. With back up players at nearly every position on the defensive line out for the Redskins 3-4 defense, Maurice Jones-Drew and company should have a field day running the ball.

BEAU-TI-FUL : ) GOOD post
that makes their bad run defense-worse, and their pass defense still bad..win-win
isnt Orakpo out too?
I think he would qualify as the biggest loss.

If the Redskins are that banged up....
and we think we can get by with Rashad Jennings and Deji carrying the ball, I might have MJD dressed to play, but not put him in. The same goes for MSW. Though I do not want to get too fired up about Jason Hill just yet, I am not sure that a combo of Thomas and Hill might not be enough to take care of the Skins, and give MSW a chance to rest. I know we need to win this game, but we need to win the next one too. And if we do win these two games, we will most definitely need evreyone as close 100% as possible for the potential playoff game that will follow. Lets rest where we can, if we can!

BUT, this game is in effect meaningless. Yes it’d be nice to win and for Indy to lose and to control our destiny in Houston, but the fact of the matter is Week 16 doesn’t clinch anything for either team. I"m with you, if we can manage, sit MJD, MSW, if the game turns into a rout (on our end as I feel the Dallas game was the Skins punched themselves out in Dallas), pull David and get Trentative some reps.
I’m hoping Sunday is more of a thank you game. Would love to see a 38-14 game with no injuries so we go into Houston fresh.
We said.....
and I just commented on your post in the other piece, so I think we can both safely say we agree. We need a win, and as much rest as possible. I do hope we can get out to an early lead so we can give some guys some rest, and let some of the depth get some play time. That would be ideal!
What did Herm Edwards say?
YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME. If I felt the Jags were going to tank this game, I’d be extremely pissed, especially since I’m coming to the game for the first time in a while.
You can't reason with unreasonable people.
