Interesting article from Paul Kuharsky of ESPN's AFC South Blog
It's a discussion starter relating to players who have been too quickly labeled bust/success. In the spirit of things, who do you think has been prematurely judged to be a bust/success? For the sake of discussion, this doesn't have to be someone from the AFC South, but it would be nice if you included one since, you know, we're all Jags fans.

Here's my comment in the original article
I’d say Mike Sims-Walker is a bit of both. He was prematurely labeled a bust, but has been too quickly anointed the Jags’ new Jimmy Smith. He had great games, and was exclusively covered by Darrell Revis in the Jets game, all signs of being a number one receiver, but it’s only one year. Give him a few more, and the expectations that come with being a top receiver will be justified.
Conversely, look at Reggie Nelson. He was too quickly labeled a good safety for his rookie year, but hasn’t lived up to expectations since. People are simply in too much rush to judge.
This was a good idea by Paul
but the conversation is based on team lines. We would say MJD is the best RB in the AFC South, he’s been better longer than CJ.
But vice versa Titans fans would argue that CJ’s numbers are higher than MJD’s and isn’t as easily contained. Making CJ better.
If there wasn’t such bias, then this would be awesome.

was anointed too early as well as: Derek Cox(Doesn’t mean he wont be a good player), Nelson his first year, Gerald Alexander(Not a good tackler), Durant a little, Anthony Smith(Though I think he can make a pretty good SS, but will start to get beat over the top if he plays much more.), Jennings, Thomas as a punt and kick returner
Those labeled as busts that I think have a chance of not being busts: Nelson(Small chance), Troy Williamson, Nate Hughes, Considine, Ingram(Not a bust for a third rounder) but he can still improve more than expected, Harvey, Groves,
Young guys that have been anointed but not too early: Knighton, Eben, Monroe, Thomas, Allen, Uche.
