Around SBN: VIDEO: Austin Rivers' Buzzer Beater Finishes Off UNC

With the 22nd pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select Jared Odrick, DT, Penn State.

The Patriots are in desperate need for pass-rushers and linemen after the departure of Richard Seymour. The Patriots ranked 23rd in the league last season in sacks and 20th in rushing yards allowed. Odrick makes perfect sense for the Patriots because he is a DT who could also play DE, and for the Patriots who have a hybrid defensive system this is a perfect fit. Odrick gives the Patriots youth and talent on their defensive line and hopefully another cornerstone of their rebuilding defense.

IMO

Sergio Kindle is the pick here.

Dead on - fantastic pick!

With Richard Seymore gone, is there any better pick? Not in my opinion!!!!
Congrats!

I'm siding with

with the Odrick pick. We don’t even know what front they are running anymore. And frankly I don’t think the Pats do either. But Odrick fits boths systems well.
Yeah they lost Seymore, but don’t forget that Jarvis Green, who started 13 games last season, is also gone. Signed with the Broncos.
Not to mention the Pats already paid money(resigned) to keep their pass rusher in Tully.
Kindle, IMO, has some highish bust potential in him.

Bust as a player or a person?

Lot of off field extra curricular activites in Sergio.

He could very well be a good player, but he needs to do a lot of learning.
