Need your help, Jags fans...
for our Mock draft over at Stampede Blue. Personally, I think your team needs are DBs and perhaps OL. I really want to give a pick that will help your team, not just the knee-jerk reaction of picking Tebow. So, I would really appreciate it if y'all would let me know a)what your needs are, b)who in the top ten could meet one of those needs and c)when is Del Rio getting fired, anyway? lol In all seriousness, even though our teams meet twice a year, I don't know all that much about the Jags. Help me learn more. Thanks!!

IMO
The signing of Aaron Kampman doesn’t preclude the Jags from taking Derrick Morgan at #10.
If Joe Haden or Eric Berry are there, the Jags could very well take them.
Personally, I’ve cooled on Rolando McClain although the Jags may be looking to address the MLB spot.
As much of a wtf it might get, seriously look at CJ Spiller as well.
Jags definetly won’t take Tebow or Dez Bryant.

A) I’d put the team needs in this order: DE, LB, DT, S, G/C
But definitely don’t pick by needs. Pick the BAP.
B) Eric Berry slipping to 10th is the dream scenario over here. Other than that it’s a toss up for who would fit for the Jags. Just gotta go with best player.

i would list
LB lower on my list, as we at least have 4-5 competent starters that are all versatile. DE is still by far our biggest need. Center is our biggest need after that, but that will probably get addressed way later. Safety is then a large need. Earl Thomas is an option there at ten if Berry is gone. We need an eraser for all of peytons deep passes.
The reason I'd put LB (middle specifically) higher...
The defense needs a leader. Mike Pete was that, and we need someone to take his role as the leader on our defense. I still really like McClain, despite the 40 time and Crohn’s

Ingram
from what I hear is a great leader. Just not that great of a LB. The Chron’s does bother me, but the 40 time doesn’t. His lack of speed however, does bother me.
Not so much
because Garrard has more history, and he’s already on the team. Can’t do anything about it now. He’s basically past his problems with it too, from what I understand.
I’m not saying I would not take him at all, but from the words of a doctor: “if there is another player that’s nearly equally rated, take the other player.”
Could he succeed? Yes. But I’m basically saying that it drops his ranking out of the top 10, IMO.
I hate the colts. but i will help you. Derrick Morgan, Rolando Mclain, Joe Haden, Eric Berry, C.J. Spiller, and Jason Pierre Paul should be the only ones considered. I would love eric berry to start with alexander. move nelson to the nickel and thats a decent secondary.
Me too.
JPP is a boom or bust player and the Jaguars can’t afford to go for those kind of guys this year.
I really, really like Price… just not at 10.

I wasn't necessarily saying the guys I listed belong at 10
I just like them more than JPP

Thanks for the input!
If Berry is still on the board I would definitely take him. After that, Haden, Morgan and then McClain? Or perhaps Spiller. Does that sound like an ok list?
I know you guys hate the Colts, so I really appreciate your input. It’s offseason, we can be friends until training camp, yes? lol

My personal list is:
1. Eric Berry
2. CJ Spiller
3. Rolando Mcclain
4. Jimmy Clausen
5. Joe Haden
6. Derrick Morgan
I’ll also not mention that I rooted for the Saints in the super bowl, bygones be bygones.

My list
Berry
Haden
Earl Thomas-You don’t find Ed Reed instincts in every draft. That makes a premium player in this pass heavy league.
Morgan- Big, fast, strong, productive DE, can never have too many DE’s
Spiller-Great player, but as highly rated as the other guys due to how invaluable the position is because of the supply
Mine.
1. Berry
2. Haden
3. McClain
4. Morgan
5. Spiller (with Thomas in a close 6th)
