BCC's 2010 Mock Draft: Version 1.0
So the "experts" here at BCC have weighed in on how the first round of the draft will play out. Thanks to everyone that offered their time to research the picks and offer support as to why they believe their team will go in that direction. Further thanks to all those who opined on said picks.
So have it it, one and all. This is only the first evolution, so as we get closer to draft day expect to see future mocks change. What did we do right? Where did we miss the mark? Justification for picks are linked from the player's names.

I’ll pretty this up later.

This is likely...
One of my favorite mocks so far. I know a few things might change now that FA has been ventured into and some pro days are completed, but I really liked how this one cam out for us. :)

It looks
Great! I dont think it gets said enough what a great job you guys do running the site and keeping it updated. Many people have great articles with different insights, and the comments are usually always constructive in positive and negative ways. Its good to know how intelligent us jaguars fans really are, and all of you have made my fondness for the team grow more, when i thought it couldnt. Only wish i lived in Jacksonville to buy season tickets, but for now i remain in the Cornhusker state. Thanks again to everyone for all you do, and Go Jaguars!

I always like site wide mock drafts better than individual ones
When you do a mock by yourself, you just have your opinion influencing it, where as site wide ones have multiple ideas going.

from Don Banks at si.com
Don picked Earl Thomas being selected by the Jags at #10… here is what he has to say about Thomas….
“The signing of veteran defensive end Aaron Kampman in free agency doesn’t rule out going after more pass rush atop the draft, but it makes it less likely that either Derrick Morgan or Jason Pierre-Paul winds up in Jacksonville. Thomas adds a play-making presence to the last line of the Jaguars defense, both against the pass and the run.”

Most people would disagree with you that he is too high in this draft.
There is no way Haden lasts beyond the top 10.

Linked the actual pick from the players name
That way other team’s fans can have an easier time seeing the justification.

Morgan is WAAAAY too high
I would not draft Morgan at 10, no way, no how. He’s not top 10 elite if you ask me. I’d target a DE later in the draft and get more of an impact player at 10. Morgan reminds me of a less athletic, more polished Harvey.

There are some who agree with you
I am one of them…to the word. I don’t see how he adds another dimension beyond DH.
In looking through the picks, and again this is my very layman opinion, here are the ones I question.
1. Bradford – You can’t risk the #1 pick on someone who has that injury to their throwing shoulder.
2. Bryant – Lose a prima dona, add one. Can’t see the Broncos doing that.
3. Campbell – My pick :). So much risk reward. Probably should’ve gone with Trent Williams.
4. Dan Williams – Another bust candidate. Steelers need o-line.
