Jaguars attending Pac-Man Jones workout
According to Jason La Canfora, the Jaguars will be one of four teams attending a private workout featuring Adam Jones today. I assume this is little more than due diligence tire kicking, but worth noting.
PS: dan073eb beat me to this by a few hours, so H/T to you sir.

Seriously?
I can’t believe Gene would be interested in Jones since he wanted nothing but high character on the team.
I personally think Mr. Loesche is correct, that’s it is tire-kicking. I think maybe they are just doing it b/c outside of character concerns, Adam Jones is an alright athlete and maybe (like 10%) could help the Jags

I just can't see Pacman to Jville
ANd I hope it will not happen!

Tire Kicking
Every time I hear this phrase, I always get a funny picture in my head (regardless of the situation). For this instance, I see Pacman lining up to do his 40 yard dash, crouched down in his sprinting position. Then along comes Gene Smith in some overalls or something, and starts kicking Pacman’s arms and legs like you would a car, and Gene has an inquisitive look on his face, and is saying, “hmm,” while nodding. “Let’s see how she runs,” would be his last comment.
Why not.
Gene is a character guy but if he sees someone cheap, desperate for chance, and with talent why not pick them up and let them compete? The worst that can happen is Jones sucks and he gets cut.
i dont think that he was a prob in dallas
he just got cut cause he was getting burnt. if he really did change i wouldnt mind the signing cause he obviously has talent, its just a matter of using it
why waste time on PacMan Jones? If I remember correctly (and do correct me if I’m mistaken) PacMan was given the once-over by the Bengals at the same time Matt “Not My Crack!” Jones was being considered and PacMan was shuffled away because he was in worse shape. If we are seriously looking at PacMan after the freakin’ BENGALS kicked him to da’ curb, then… wtf ?
Sean Jax Beach Bum
Nathan Vasher
He has just been released by the Bears…
He´s a high character team-guy that would be nice to bring in.
He might be a bit expensive, but playing in our division, we do need 3 quality Cbs.
Agreed
Vasher has had some problems with injuries, but if we were to sign him I think he would be our nickleback taking some pressure off of him and allow him to rest some downs
Jaguars were or are in talks with

So I think they might look for him at corner

I don't think the Jags are looking at Jones....
I think Pacman Jones workout was preceding a pro day in New Orleans, and the Jags were probably there for that.
Just to be fair........
When he was with Tennesee, he was a great athlete. That’s about all I can say……LOL
