Aaron Kampman is a True Class Act

This morning in the Milwaukee Journal the newest Jaguar, Aaron Kampman, took out a full page ad in the back of the Milwaukee Journal to send a message to all of the Packer fans that cheered for him over the last 8 seasons. You can view the page here.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support, encouragement and friendship. It's been an honor to serve this community as a member of the Green Bay Packer organization. Linde and I thank God for the years we've spent in Wisconsin, and thank you for welcoming us with open arms.

For my family, this time has been so much more than a job. We've experienced many public and private successes that will stand in our memories forever. More importantly, we experienced them with you.

I look forward to the day when I'll bring my three boys to Lambeau field and reminisce about what it was like to be a part of the Packer Nation.

Thank you and God bless.

Wow, he's definitely nothing less than a true class act. It's great to be able to look at the quality of character on the Jaguars and be able to have pride as a fan in the team that we cheer for. Thank you Gene Smith for bringing a guy of such talent and strong character to Jacksonville. How about we just stay far far away from Pacman Jones, eh?

I'm just glad

there are people out there like this. And even better, he’s on my favorite team.

Glad to have you in Jacksonville Aaron.

What a classy guy.

Reminds me so much of Reggie Williams, Khalif Barnes, Jerry Porter and Matt Jones.

Great

Pickup. Good job Gene Smith. As long as he produces on the field. So i guess this article rules out any chances of him retiring as a jag right haha

I wouldn't say that

things have a way of changing depending on how your season goes. If we go on to win a couple SB’s with him here, somehow I think he’ll retire a Jag.

If you ever hear that the Jaguars are just a bunch of thugs

point to Aaron, and walk away.

Impressive dude

I’ve nevr heard of any player doing something like that, but then I don’t live in the States so maybe I wouldn’t know about it. Does it happen often?

I remember CC Sabathia doing it in Cleveland when he was traded to the Yankees. That’s the only one I can remember ever doing it.

I’m glad he’s a Jaguar

Acme Packing Company

STILL NOT REPORT ABOUT AARON’s great; great gesture…

And we are speaking of great gesures; Aaron’s old friend and buddy; Our own Brad Meesters did this today(and not just today!!!):

Meester and his wife, Jamie, are hosting 20 abused and neglected children for day of fun including lunch downtown. They do 1 event a month.

Well- our Jags starting to become “the team of the REALLY good guys”

I know of a few players on D that wont play patty cake football

Knighton, Ingram, Daryl, Aaron Kampman once healthy, Aaron Smith, Gerald Alexander, Tyron Brackenridge among others.

Just dropped by

I just dropped by to say good luck on the season and congrats on signing Aaron Kampman he is a great player and will be an asset to your team and community. It’s a shame he does not fit in our Defense anymore.
I will be following the Jags this year just for him……they made some good moves this off season you should have a good year.

Don't care...

How’s his ACL healing?

by Bryqan on Mar 21, 2010 2:42 PM EDT reply actions

It's been said

that he should be ready for training camp. Apparently he started walking without a limp 7 days after his surgery, after he said he would.

Our loss is your gain....

Hey Folks-
I live in packer country and what Aaron did by taking out that ad was typical Aaron. He is as classy of a man as you will ever meet in any sport. I will be rooting for the Jags to be successful and you I can guarantee you that as nice of a player as he is, when he gets on the field, it is on! The man has got a motor like Jared Allen without the motor mouth. Pure class! wish we still had him but I totally understand that he no longer fit in our scheme.

Note to Mr. ’Don’t Care’, this guy has an incredible work ethic. He will be ready to play. I guarantee you that. You can stop being a d*ck now. Aaron is one guy who doesn’t deserve it.
