With the 7th Pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select Joe Haden, CB, Florida
I think Joe Haden makes the most sense for them matching a top need with value. Haden will run faster at his pro day than he did at the combine, and will move back up draft boards. Anthony Davis could also be an option here, but i think the value of taking him and putting him at right tackly measures just below the value of Haden as their top corner for the next decade.

Rational pick
I don’T buy (sadly) that his 40 time at the combine hurt him. He is that good. I wish the Jags have a shot to pull the trigger on him…
Nice pick by the Browns!

The Browns are an interesting pick, as they have lots of holes. Haden is probably their best bet here, but I also wouldn’t be surprised to see them go after WR Dez Bryant…as they desperately need a #1 playmaker at WR. I doubt they’d go OT here, since this would be really really high for a RT, and they’re set at LT.

+1
Well said. They could work on their line in the later rounds. The secondary is in need of players, as is receiver and possibly running back. I don’t think they want to give up on either Anderson or Quinn just yet, but another sorry season from those two could bring that about.

40 time won't hurt Haden
Last year it didn’t hurt Malcolm Jenkins – he went right about where expected, and to a team with need.
Haden will definitely help the Browns. Good pick. I really wish that he would drop to the Jags. That would be a nice young tandem of CBs and Mathis could eventually move back to safety, where he was his rookie year.
