Do you like man or zone coverage more?

What NFL CB do you think you can relate to, as far as your skill set?

What particular part of your game do you think needs the most work/practice when you get to the NFL? In any case, I hope to see you in a Jaguars uniform next month. Good luck!

Sorry for being so Late I will start answering questions now.

The Highlight of my career was when we beat USC in 2006.
I have had some contact with Jaguar people.
I have been in contact with many teams, you can say almost all of them in some way shape or form.
Yes I have been preparing for the Draft through combine prep, and now getting my db skills even more polished.
I like man to man coverages
I don’t think too many NFL corners are like me, but I like charles Woodson game because he is a playmaker when he gets the ball and is strong in run support.
I didn’t mind too much about what USC did because they were playing football, it is our fault for not defending it.
I deal with tall receivers like i dealt with them in colleges. Using technique and being physical. The bigger they hard the harder they fall.
I think i need to get better in zone coverages. Reading and feeling things out from the responsibility

Being a Southern California guy

Are you concerned about being drafted by a team in cold weather?

Follow me on Twitter

by Adam Stites on Mar 6, 2010 9:58 PM EST reply actions

Cold weather

No I am not. i just want a chance to play. I don’t think anybody wants to play in the cold. But when you are in the game, it doesn’t really matter. just 3 hours you got to endure it for.

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 9:59 PM EST reply actions

Toughest receiver

I will say Desean jackson, steve smith (Giants), And Brandon Gibson

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:03 PM EST reply actions

Process

The process is way different. More tedious. NFL wants to know every single thing about you.
Out of High school you didn’t have to worry as much

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:04 PM EST reply actions

What's the weirdest question you got at the combine?

Someone asked Gerald McCoy if he wore a G string when he played.

by Adam Stites on Mar 6, 2010 10:05 PM EST reply actions

Faster

I have no idea to be honest. i guess i ran a faster time than him at the combine, but that doesn’t mean i am faster. i have never raced him.

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:06 PM EST reply actions

The weirdest question

I received none.
They were all basic questions to be honest.

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:07 PM EST reply actions

Do you know anyone

from the Jaguars squad? Been in contact with MJD or Marcedes Lewis?

by Ewdtrey on Mar 6, 2010 10:09 PM EST up reply actions

You may get a lot of these.

All of us have heard Haden being one of the best but we seldom here about the other guys out there, mostly because Jacksonville is a die hard Gator country and many of the other schools, players, and conferences are basically ignored.

by Slvrgun on Mar 6, 2010 10:11 PM EST up reply actions

That make sense. And the gators are a great team, y wouldn’t they speak about them. And Haden is a good player and so are other members of the team. tebow, Hernandez, MAjor, Ahmad, janoris, Brandon, Dunlap, Cunnigham, Basically everyone. lol

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:17 PM EST up reply actions

Contact

I have not touched basis with any player from the jaguars.
Not even the UCLA players. i have seen Mo Drew sometimes, but not really any conversations.

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:10 PM EST reply actions

I have never been to Jacksonville

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:10 PM EST reply actions

Joe Haden

Well, i don’t really know him as a player, all i got to go from is that he is overall a good player. All i can really say is what i bring to the table. I bring a competitive attitude to the team. I bring a person who is strong in run support. I bring smartness and awareness and i think this is my biggest asset,. The ability to learn plays, and make adjustments quickly. Diagnose the opposing teams offense, quick and efficiently. So that is what separates me from every corners.

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:13 PM EST reply actions

ST

I can contribute on every single special teams.
From returning, running down on kicks. In every aspect. And I plan on doing that regardless my spot on the defensive depth chart.

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:16 PM EST reply actions

Tips

Not really. Not too much you can do at a house. lol
I believe you can do push-ups and sit-ups anywhere.
But no real tips. i am sorry

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:18 PM EST reply actions

You're playing with fire there.

It’ll start a flame war eventually, though it would be funny on a Jags site. PS3 for me.

Chris is very Athletic and fast guy! I liked him every single year at ASU. great hands and will be a great addition to any team.
SydQuan is a great guy and one of my new good friends. he is very good technician. Good feet, hard work and good person. He is tough and a very good returner, we worried about him every time we played them.

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:30 PM EST up reply actions

Can you think of

some underrated players to look out for next year in the Pac-10 or players that might be drafted this year?

by Ewdtrey on Mar 6, 2010 10:38 PM EST reply actions

umm… in pac_10. Andrew Luck Stanford
Jermaine Kearse – Washington
Shane Vereen – Cal
Trevin wade – Arizona

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:43 PM EST up reply actions

Good picks

I don’t even know who Kearse and Wade are. And the other guys are pretty darn good.

by Ewdtrey on Mar 6, 2010 10:44 PM EST up reply actions

That is why they are underrated. Trevin Wade had 5 ints this year for Arizona. i really good corner to me.
Kearse makes big catches in every game. against us, Notre dame and USC. he was big in.

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:46 PM EST up reply actions

What were

your combine numbers? Been looking everywhere for them. All I can find are your numbers for the 40, 3 cone, 20 shuttle, 60 shuttle

Well i have yet to find my official 40 time, juts unofficials

Thanks sir. It would be nice playing with Mo Drew because i think hes an outstanding player.

I am definitely going to miss my teammates and playing in the rose bowl.
My teammates were great and playing in the rose bowl was amazing, the crowd and fans, just brought that place to life!

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:59 PM EST up reply actions

ANy more questions? I got a few more minutes?
let me ask 1, what have most of you guys heard about me and how does that contrast with what you have seen me play? If you ahve seen me?

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 10:58 PM EST reply actions

I honestly

haven’t heard a lot. Which I think shouldn’t be so. I would have liked to here what Mayock and all of them from the combine had to say about you, but they kept going to commercials when it was your turn to run a drill.
I keep hearing that you are smart and productive player, but that you aren’t a super athlete or very big. But on the field, I see nothing that says that you can’t keep up with the best athletically.

by Ewdtrey on Mar 6, 2010 11:02 PM EST up reply actions

I would've

guessed that you had longer arms and better high jump from the plays you’ve made in college.

by Ewdtrey on Mar 6, 2010 11:04 PM EST up reply actions

Ya, that is because i am never just jumping str8 from a dead stop, i am running and moving. that is why a lot of combine drills are not really football applicable. But i would agree. lol

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 11:06 PM EST up reply actions

Ok appreciate honesty, i assume anybody east coast would have no idea about me. lol
And they did go to commercial every time I came up, kinda show the type of respect i get. lol

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 11:05 PM EST up reply actions

Seriously!

I was sooo looking forward to seeing you out there.
Did you drop any passes in the drills?

by Ewdtrey on Mar 6, 2010 11:07 PM EST up reply actions

I didn’t drop or bobble one pass.

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 11:08 PM EST up reply actions

Well the thing I keep hearing is that you leveled out after your freshman year

They say you never really improved from such a phenomenal freshman year. I’ve seen you play, in the Rose Bowl actually, and you just made plays in all the years. It’s hard to say that you didn’t get better when the freshman year was so good, but I might not have watched enough.

Follow me on Twitter

by Adam Stites on Mar 6, 2010 11:03 PM EST up reply actions

Ya I have heard that. and that is an opinion. i believe my play ahs elevated every year, juts less balls were thrown at me as years went on. So less opportnuity to shine.

by ATV1UCLA on Mar 6, 2010 11:08 PM EST up reply actions

I saw you doing your combine workout.

Look solid flipping hips, had good speed, and solid hands.

Have yet to look at film but so far it appears you are a Gene Smith type of guy.

Hope we can draft you!

Haha

I was laughing at that too
And apparently McShay has heard himself talk too much.

by Ewdtrey on Mar 6, 2010 11:09 PM EST up reply actions

I have heard that. And I don’t know how you can determine that? I feel that i am a great example of darwinism. When presented with a situation when i need to adapt, i find a way to conform to stay on top and alive. Which means the sky is the limit because i will find a way to get it done to survive. So my potential is endless in my opinion.
