At the Detroit Lions SB site, Pride of Detroit, Tim Tebow was just selected by the Denver Broncos at pick # 45. I was the Jaguar GM and my plan was to trade up into the second round to draft Tim Tebow as our project QB of the future. I planned to give Denver the Jacksonville 2011 first round pick and the 2010 sixth round [if necessary] to secure this pick and then select Tim Tebow. Unfortunately, no trades were allowed.

I am a semi-regular visitor on this site and I know the general consensus is that Tebow will not be selected [not wanted] by the Jags. However, it would not surprise me to see a trade like that. I won't go into all the reasons, that has been beaten to death, but has there been any discussion here about a move like that?

Do people really think that Gene Smith would not be interested in acquiring Tebow as a QB for the future?
