You can't argue Tebows acolades

He is the most decorated college quarterback of all time. What you can argue is how it will translate to the NFL. Will his release get quicker, can he protect the ball, will he temper down his aggressive running style to avoid injury, can he go under center effectively…those are all questions scouts have to ask themselves. There are issues with every QB in the draft, evidence by one that most had going in the top 10 now waiting for his name to be called tomorrow instead. Tebows problems are fundamental based though, Bradford might carry injury concerns while Clausen has leadership and ego problems but they don’t have holes in their game. They already play the game like pros while Tebow plays in sort of a gimmicy system that has not shown it translates nicely to the NFL. He is a project, and although many believe that QBs should sit for awhile anyway there are still doubts he will even play quarterback. I think all arguments against Tebow stem from the great risk that he presents being taken in the first or second round when he might not work out even though he almost certainly won’t play significant time for at least 2 seasons, and supporters best argument for him is that he is such a great guy.

I hope he does well though, I really do. I’m glad he got taken high because it’s obvious Denver believes he’s going to work out. I don’t know if Jacksonville did.

Thanks for today's talk radio segment on the board...

The scout in Gene doesn’t allow him to take guys he doesn’t think are football players going to help the core of this team. We didn’t win last year because we lacked pass rush and our cupboard was bare. All the sudden we got a Pro Bowl DE in Kampman and a new pass rushing DT. Hmmmmmm…. maybe they should have won more in high school to help us in the NFL.

Congrats to TT for being a first round pick and getting a chance to do what he’s always wanted to do. THANK GOD Gene didn’t waste a first round pick on a backup QB.

The world is full of guys...

who have succeeded in sports up until the pro level. Tebow is an outstanding young man but if the Jags would have drafted him he would have been 2 or 3 years away from getting on the field and the Jags need to improve now.

Come on

the list of winning college QB’s who failed in the NFL is a very long list. Especially QB’s who won the Heisman.

saying you're not a Tebow fan

and then proving otherwise in your comments is what generates that question

Ohh i am going to have fun with this one.

Look get your hindsight out of your eyes and wake up back into reality. Tebow will never be Brady never. Brady was a sixth round pick and Tebow was a huge reach first. Brady had a crummy team to work with as far as stars. Tebow has yet to face that. Tebow can’t play an option in the NFL he does not have the speed of Young or Vick and certainly not the original Scrambler Cunningham. So his merchandise can sell like hot cakes and still it will not matter because. He can’t throw his mechanics are shot and there is no quick fix to solve the problem. His delivery is slower then Byron and does not have have the bullet of him. Come game time he will resort to what he knows when push comes to shove. Elway had an arm and could throw the ball down 60 yards with pin point accuracy Tebow cant. If Tebow sat on the bench a good three to four years and studied like a mad man then yes he could end up a quality backup or a average starter. But Elite not going to happen. you don’t wake up one day with a new throwing motion Byron tried to change his how did that work out for him? What will happen Denver will get desperate for a qb and start Tebow way to soon. And his holy grail fan base will find out he is not the second coming of Christ just a normal man. In my opinion his best days are behind him but that is nothing to be ashamed of. he had one of the greatest college careers and how many can say that.

Glad you having fun.....

thats what it is all about…… we all have our views and opinions about alot…. BUT I think he will shut up the na sayers and prove them wrong….. Im not against him nor am I wit him…. I just believe that you cant measure heart, will and determination…. and that I know he have..

I agree

But sad fact Rudy’s are far and few in between in the NFL. if people could let the kid be and come in when hes ready he could be productive. But that’s not the case and he will be rushed and drift away.
