Real Fans Don't Care
When i first heard the pick Tyson Alualu i buried my face in my hands wondering what Gene Smith had done. I went to bed feeling much more optimistic, after watching film, looking at stats, and finding out hte the people of the American Samoa are superb football players with not much training. Or natural athletes.
But then it dawned on me: Real Fans don't care. Because real jacksonville jaguars fans can say, "In Gene we Trust" and know that Tyson Alualu is a Jacksonville Jaguar and there is nothing that can change that barring a shocking trade. Who cares if it was a reach? It happened, and lets embrace Alualu. Maybe, as Paul Kuharsky noted, Jacksonville has found jackpot.
But the bottom line is Tyson Alualu did not choose to be the subject of critism. Hes a jacksonville jaguar now, and hes our jacksonville jaguar now. Regardless, see what he has to say, see how hard he plays, see him not miss a day of training camp. For he is our newest Jaguar

I agree except
I don’t think we can say that Jags draft BAP. That was a position need and no one can say that was a BAP pick.
In Gene I trust!!!!!!
I not only trust Genes judgement...
I trust him to be truthful, so I have no doubt that both picks were on the top of his BAP board. Evidentally, he tried hard to move up and take Sean Lee, but couldn’t get it done.
Was D'Anthony Smith
a needs pick, after already having Henderson, Knighton, Alualu, Ellison, and Stanley? I doubt it.
Hen
What do you guys think is going to happen to Hen now, with Alualu on board I can’t see them having that much money tied up in d-tackle?? Thoughts
Trade for a future pick
or he might be cut. I would like to trade him to Buffalo for Marshawn Lynch. What an amazing backfield we’d have. And I know they like eachother.
I trust the pick
But to say that real fans don’t criticize their front office sounds like WW2 propaganda.

I will criticize
if I see it fit to do so. But I tell you what, I don’t think I would have had the balls to draft Alualu or the gut to stomach drafting D’Anthony Smith.
+1
Indeed. I would have gone with someone the fans could understand, like Walton or Lane. shrugs

I was like everyone else when it came to TA.
After hearing more about him, and hearing Mayock rave about him when the pick was made, I have come to like the pick immensely.
Furthermore, Gene has said that if you’re going to put all of the work into your board, and then go away from it, then why do the work. That to me is evidence enough that Alualu was the BAP on the JAGS board, and not anyone else.
I'll be your dog, just don't treat me like one....
