Should we pursue Faneca?
I was really surprised that we did not help our interior offensive line, or our secondary. We traded #158 for a 4th rounder next year, and #158 was used to pick Tennant from BC, who started for BC for three years.
I'm comfortable with the players the G. Smith drafted, although Alualu may have been a reach, he probably was the BAP on our board. I have no doubt that we have significantly upgraded our defensive line, but I am concerned about our other needs.

Depends on how much he'll want
Jets are still on the hook for 5 million this year, so no reason the next team to sign him should have to put out a large deal

YES sign him for 2 years
as long as were not overpaying. The guys a nine time pro bowler and he’s better than what we have. His production may have slipped last year but I would definitely pull the trigger as long as he passes a physical. We didn’t get the chance to upgrade the position in the draft so why not try elsewhere. We may even be able to move big John for a safety and wow this team would be looking awesome.
I guess we'll give Cecil Newton a try

UDFA's for O-Line
true, they didn’t DRAFT for the O-line, but got a few UDFA’s:
OT, Daniel Baldridge, 6-8, 311, 24, Marshall
C, John Este, 6-2, 302, 23, Hawaii
OT, Kevin Haslam, 6-5, 304, 23, Rutgers
Sean Jax Beach Bum
I'm concerned about the O-line
Last year, offensive consistency suffered because the line couldn’t protect David. I’m not so sure that UDFAs will be able to contribute much at all, and Meester’s time has come.
Faneca would be a fantastic pickup.
Considering the Jets are paying $5 million for him to not play for them,
I’m not sure he has anything left in the tank.

Faneca - Overrated Name
Faneca had major issues last year in pass protection. He is still a good guard, and might be an upgrade for the Jags, but his age and performance are a bit troubling.
I fully expect that Vince Manuwai will be much, much better this next year. Uche, while I still have my reservations, should be better as well. My only major concern at this point is Center. Will Brad Meester rebound? I don’t think he’ll be able to.
Ignore the hype; look at the results.
Faneca is a needed upgrade
It would prob be expensive to get him, but Jag’s should consider him. Manuwai looked slow, beaten up and hobbled.. Meester has seen his best days and I doubt either would hold up though the season the Jags have coming.
Couldn’t believe Jags didn’t address it. DB as well
Gotta love the Pass Rush potential of draft picks tho
