Larry Hart 59
I hope that means he is standing up.

Yea I like him
as a strongside LB or off tackle end

they said he'll have a hand on the ground
Like Gene said, he’s the same size as Bob Mathis was coming out.
I could see both
I def see him working nicely with hand in dirt.,but I think he will be used standing up at times in blitz packages. His tape was great all around and he was as effective standing up as when his hand was on the ground when pursuing the QB, RB and straight up bull rushing at times.

I think larry has more of an upfield explosion and more of a motor, something gene really talked about in his press conference, to be great, u gotta have a motor
for sure
Yeah LH looks like hes magnetized to the quarterback. Groves had more of raw speed working for him. Larry is a headhunting missile..

Not that I think that
Groves was a softy, but when he would run his arc he would run it like he didn’t want to be touched. And to some degree Harvey was like that too. But unless you are super super fast around that corner, like Demarcus Ware, you have to beat your man or the OL will just push you passed the QB. Luckily Hart and the other DL we drafted, seem to like to hit the opposing players.
dammit!!!!!!
My bad Ewdtrey……….U got it way before me!!!!!!!!!! Sorry for the double posting guys!
Oh yeah and I’ll be copping that #93 authentic ya dig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their numbers tell alot abou what their roles will be
I hope Smith and Lane will play to their numbers (Meier and Spicer)
Hart and Alualu should play over their numbers (Iwuh and Groves)
However the 35 and 30 haven’t had any super player in a long time wearing them, but one of the DBs wore 30 last year and is still with them so he probably changed jersey #
Some of the UDFAs should hate their numbers because its almost set they wont be here, the jersey # hasnt been on the active roster in a long time
Waber-Jaguar
Hmmm
I’m completely undecided on what Jersey to get now. So many choices!
My short list is
Knighton
MSW
Mike Thomas
Alualu
Cox
I may just get yet another MJD jersey to update to the new style. As common and boring as it is the guy is just so awesome!
I'm with you, I need a new jersey
Out of your short list:
I’d probably do:
Cox (Dirty secrets)
Mike Thomas (reverse plays)
MSW (Best WR in last 5 or so seasons)
My short list is:
Kirk Morrison
Mike Sims-Walker
Kampman
"HULU: An evil plot to destroy the world. Enjoy"
Driver of the "Cut Reggie Nelson" Bandwagon.
Winner of the 2010 Chad Pennington Award
Do we have any proven players on the D line?
Anybody other than Kampman done anything yet? Unless you retire it, you gotta give it to somebody.
I agree
but I wouldn’t call him proven. TK still has a ways to go and improvements to make. I guess my only point is, Kampman is the only one who has really proven to be a true baller on the line and he’s got a number. How long do you have to wait to give out the jersey?
It’s like somebody famous died and you gotta wait awhile for the jokes to be OK.
Def
He was easily the most solid all D Lineman.

I agree
I think the more we get pass receivers involved and the older Greg gets, the greater the chances of him leaving. I say one more year if for no other reason than the FB position seems to be getting phased out.
I disagree
I think Jones still has plenty left. Plus, he isn’t that old, only 29 years old. Another thing, if you aren’t going to have a FB to block, you need an extra blocking TE to make up for it, and the Jags don’t have one, besides Lewis. So I think Jones will be around for a few more years.

3. Tebow is NOT a Jacksonville Jaguar, so get over it already!!!
If you get the old style you can pick one up cheap
He definitely wins most frightening guy on the team award.
Shaun Chapas out of UGA will come out of the draft next year. He’s local too.
If we could get him late round/RFA he might be a good replacement.
I think he has plenty
in the tank too. But he’s not much of a pass catcher, and he’s not the most reliable due to injuries. Remember that at that 30 mark many running backs tend to slow down a lot, and sometimes it’s very sudden.
Except that Jones doesn't get very many carries
If he is just used for blocking, then he should have more than a few years left, if he stays healthy.

Lorenzo Neal played well into his 30s
He was 37 or 38 when he last made a Pro Bowl with the Chargers

Yes
but that’s rare, and he wasn’t nearly the player he used to be his last 3-4 years, even though he did make the pro bowl. That was more name recognition than anything.
+1
And to piggy back off of what I was saying earlier, it’s a scheme thing too. I think the fact that Dirk seems to be using the multiple WR sets and the TE pass catching weapons we have more and more kind of work the FB off the field. Factor in the fat checks Greg cashes and it’s not a value to have him at his current rate. I am a Greg Jones fan, he’s a beast – no doubt, but he is getting up there in years and the times they are a chaaaaaaaaaaaaaangin.
We shall see
I still believe Jones is still an important part of the team, but if he leaves, I hope he at least he goes to a place that gives him more carries.
