Report: Safety Darren Sharper to visit the Jacksonville Jaguars

Per Adam Schefter on Twitter, free agent safety Darren Sharper will visit with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys this week.

This visit makes a ton of sense, as safety was not addressed in the draft.  The Jaguars have a good starter in Gerald Alexander and a great swing backup in Anthony Smith, but after that the safety situation in Jacksonville is pretty grim.  It's possible former first round pick Reggie Nelson may not even make it out of training camp.

If Jacksonville can swing a deal with Sharper, we could be looking at a completely different defense in Jacksonville in 2010.

UPDATE: Sharper is visiting Jacksonville today, and the word is Jack Del Rio wanted him the first time he was a free agent. Jacksonville is very interested.
