Interesting 2011 Mock You'll Wanna See

Notice they have us picking at number 3 overall. I'm sure this has something to do with our latest draft. No respect already. They think TB, Sea, Det, and KC are going to be better than us.
Can't wait for the year to start.
Also notice who Rang has us picking, Christian Ponder. If we do somehow end up with the third pick overall, or a position somewhere we could pick him, I would not mind picking Ponder, assuming he comes back from his injury.

And why in the world do they exclude the premier wide receivers and (some of) the quarterbacks? Must be the same reason they have the Jags picking at 3.

Mock sucks

just because they think were gonna be the 3rd WORST team in the nfl. what is that. this team can only get better. just pissed me off seeing that. its so early to do this i bet half these guys dont go in the first round. Interesting to see that. ponder would be a good fit

I can see how

an old team, or even a team that loses a lot in FA or through trades could get worse. But why would the Jags be worse after last year’s rookie class got some experience? That’s what I wanna know.
How exactly did we get worse?

Not to mention the free agent and trade upgrades...

Yeah I can see how adding an Aaron Kampman and Kirk Morrison to four pass rushing draft picks would instantly down grade the team…. wait… what??? Typical national writers with no idea of what’s going on with the team. The only thing that does suck is that there are what I think will be some real franchise QB prospects coming next year and I honestly think we’ll be towards the end of the first. We’ll all probably want Ponder and Gene will snag somebody like Luck later and chuckle at us when he gets home…. silly fans.

Guys

Gene Smith is willing to trade up on occasion. A quarterback is important enough to trade up for. Our 5th round pick that was traded for next year’s 4th could be part of a trade package. We need a qb, and next year is the year for a stacked qb draft. Don’t take it as an insult, consider it as a needs based mock with trades.
