A little birdie told me the Jaguars will be at roughly the 5,000 mark for tickets needed to lift the blackout.
This could be the big news Vic Ketchman was referring to.
edit: Someone just informed me Tony Boselli mentioned this morning the Jaguars needed about 5,500 tickets to sell to hit the mark. This likely means that the 8,000 expected group sales are essentially a done deal.

but I’m guessing quite a few of those people who usually buy in July were convinced to buy sooner by all the extra marketing that was going on.
thats probably true to some degree. lets just hope we can get another 5k before december. I would really love for the only single game tickets to go on sale be club seats. That way all the non jaguar gator fans that piss me off would have to buy club seats if they wanna go to the game

Group Sales
I’m not sure the group sales count toward the black out number do they? That’s why Vic was saying that the organization took it upon themselves to move those tickets. Maybe I read that wrong. I hope they ARE a done deal, and I hope the rest can be moved soon.
They still count toward the blackout number
…but the fans don’t have to buy those tickets because the team is selling them to various corporations and such.

It was 11,325 last week and now it is 11,018, so not sure where you got your little birdie source from?
If....
that needle doesn’t make any big jumps very soon, there could be lots of trouble in paradise! Not sure who the source is, but I wouldn’t rest just yet.
Group Sales
In this original post, Alfie mentioned group sales being at 8k. The fuel needle on Jaguars.com has it much less than that.
The team has agreed to sell 8k
That means they still need to sell around 5k group tickets. That leaves around 6k for the rest of the fanbase to purchase in season ticket form.

or pre-purchased single game tickets or mini packs like last year…..I think!
