NY Times breaks down this years Jags

Russell Allen will be the surprise player of the year for the Jags. Most Improved from last year on Defense. I liked what I saw from him late last year, especially against the run. He needs to improve his pass coverage skills, but I really think he can be a great LB for this team.

That's not TRBL

This started off a pretty accurate article. If I had to be brutally honest with myself, I would agree with a lot of what he was writing and I was really taken back by the fact that a national writer actually wrote as if he knew something about the Jags.

BUT…. then he said this

“Outside linebacker Daryl Smith is popular because he’s versatile and reliable. However, Smith isn’t Jacksonville’s best linebacker; Russell Allen is.”

FAIL… that is the most asinine thing I have read, next to the trade for Vick and sign TO of course, all week.

After that statement it was a landslide into seeing how ridiculous he could get to see if you were still reading his epic sports novel on the team.

I think Allen can push Durant, but Smith is by far their best backer.

It’s like he had such an insightful article going and really raised my eyebrows like WOW this guy knows somethin about the team… AND he’s in NY? D Smith will get his once we start performing and being playoff competitive, which I think starts this year. As always, Jacksonville won’t get deserved due until they can’t help but notice us.
