I just got through reading this idiot on Yahoo, talking about how bad a town Jax is, about how is has no identity, all the same old unimaginative crap we've heard so often before.

Anyway, what caught my attention was his mocking reference to Mike Sims-Walker and Mike Thomas calling themselves Mike & Mike, and I have to agree it's pretty weak and unoriginal. So I came up with an alternative ... ready for this? The Open Mikes. When I played guitar in bars way back when I had to endure many an Open Mic Night to try and get a permanent job, and of course we hope these guys are open all year long, so that's what I came up with.

Got something better? Lay it on me. Let's just get past Mike & Mike and give the lads something that gives them, you know, an identity.
