Kyle Orton Extension
In case you thought that Garrard was overpaid, Orton is gonna get paid 9 million in 2011. And he just had a year equivalent to Garrard's down year. By comparison Garrard will be making 7.975 in 2011. Not saying Garrard is underpaid/overpaid, just giving perspective on how much his market value is. And the Broncos are already paying 2 first round QB's behind Orton.

Equal?
I don’t know what math you’re using EWD, but
60.9%, 3,600, 15/10
is not equal to
62.1%, 3,800, 21/12

What does this say
…about how ready Tim Tebow is? I’ve never seen a team draft a QB in the first round, and then give another guy an extension.
I think you
just said it all with your statement above.
Really all this deal does is give him a raise this year. It turns his previous 1-year $2.62M deal into a 2-year $11.4M deal with $8.1M guaranteed, so he’s still making much less than Garrard. It tacks on guaranteed money more so than just simply paying him $8.8M in 2011.

in fairness to QB comparisons. this is uneven
Orton has possibly the best pass blocking LT in the NFL.
Garrard had a rookie. I don’t care if it was Orlando Pace as a rookie. its a rookie
Garrards line was below average as a whole. Orton’s was above average.
Garrard was sacked 42 and Orton, well i have no idea because apparent PFF is a pay-site now.
Brandon Marshall and co. was much better last year than MSW and co.
It’s not even to just compare the #’s
And all those who look down on me I'm tearing down your balcony
Outside of Clady, Denver’s line isn’t any better. It’s probably a bit worse.
Denver also was piss poor running the ball, and Jags have MJD.
Outside of Marshall, they had Jabari Gaffney and Eddie Royal who came back to earth.
It’s not that uneven.

You forgot
The reciever excuse. Don’t forget the wr corps from 2008 was garbage. If only David had an ol and a great set of wr’s and he would go down as one of the games all time greats.

thanks
i was getting a little worried. i thought i read somewhere he was going to be second string, but his stats were legit last year so i see no reason to put him back a step.
