I know I'm probably older than anyone who comes to this site regularly, and maybe I should leave and find some adults to play with. But that would disappoint me. I've enjoyed visiting here the past couple of years, the comments and insights, the shared passion for the Jags, and I've appreciated many of you for what I've learned. But BCC has changed, and not for the better.
Differences of opinion are fine and are actually the lifeblood of a site like this. But there is a way to disagree without losing respect, without being churlish. A number of you these days seem to gravitate almost immediately into a pissing contest, like you come here specifically for that reason. If you have personal issues with one or more people on this site, do the rest of us a favor and take it off line, send nasty emails to each other, meet in a back alley, do pistols at dawn, whatever.
My sense over the years is that fans from other sites have appreciated the way they've been treated here, and have respected the intelligence and dignity of the BCC regulars. We're losing that, and it's a shame. Please, for the sake of all of us who love the Jaguars and enjoy frequenting this site, let's see if we can clean it up. Thanks.

I agree. I’ve been a culprit once in a while. I firmly believe it starts at the top.

Let's be honest
There are going to be arguments. We have passionate people here. Try to stick to the facts, admit it when you are wrong, and most of all, remember that this we have an Internet discussion going on. 12 year olds that are just growing some peach fuzz are taking part along with experienced athletes and coaches. Don’t get too upset when someone else doesn’t like you. You never know just how dumb they might be. If they make sense, however, maybe you should stop and think before posting. It is a right to post, and unfortunately, someone has to pick weeds to plant the crops. Don’t be a pest and you won’t get deleted.

Good rule to follow....
The internet allows folks to write checks with their mouths that the A**es can’t pay. Its like beer muscle at a bar, but even worse, and we all have been guilty of it. I am all for stopping the BS and talking football. This site, juts like life, is going to have people that you just don’t like. Ignore and walk away!

I love this site, found it a year ago and i probably come here 10-15 times a day on my phone at work lol…i gotta know everything and living here and ive never met a REAL jags fan in dade county my whole life so this is where i feel at home amongst these dolfans. Regardless of what people say keep up the good work alfie.

I tell my wife all the time that the best thing to ever happen for ignorance was the emergence of internet blogs. Just go over to the TU website and try to read the comments at the bottom of a Jags related story without wanting to chuck your lunch. This site has always been better than that. Let’s keep it that way.
p.s. I’m just as guilty of losing my composure as anyone else :-)

I gotta admit...
I quit following Jagnation for the same reason. My oasis was Big Cat Country. I have been visiting less and less and it’s the same problem. I wasn’t happy when Jag Alfie, I mean Alfie came over. Not because I have a problem with anything he says, but it seems to piss people off, and they act asinine. Bottom line is this team SHOULDN’T be that good, but they should be better. Don’t hate on someone’s opinion, just state your FACTS, and move on. Please people don’t ruin one of the best blog sites on the internet.
I’m just going to reserve my comments to answering specific questions. If you don’t like my article, you don’t like it.
As I do radio a lot, it’s a character flaw for me to entice an argument (which is great for radio).

I took on the Jags as my AFC team [Detroit Lions are #1…..well in my heart at least] in part because of the discussions I saw here. They are generally intelligent, respectful, and funny. A good place to hang out. That has changed a bit over the summer, and I hope it gets back to where it used to be.
