Jaguars Power Rankings
It's time to take a trip around the interwebs to see where the Jacksonville Jaguars rank in the various "Power Rankings" on the internets.
Click to jump to see them all.
We'll start with the SBNation.com Power Rankings:
23. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0)
Last week's rank: 24
Last game: Broncos (won)
A win's a win no matter how it comes. The Jaguars will need more than 98 yards from Maurice Jones-Drew to be consistent winners.
FoxSports.com moved the Jaguars up 5 spots:
24 (25) Jaguars 1-0-0 Beating the Broncos created a buzz. Now they look to sustain it in North Florida. (Kuharsky)
ProFootballTalk.com has the Jaguars ranked higher than anyone:
23/28 This team never seems to win convincingly. But hey, they all count. They need to get WR Mike Sims-Walker much more involved, though. Reality could hit this week against the Chargers.
15. Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 18; 1-0): Kassim Osgood made the most of his chance to finally play offense by delivering a game-winning touchdown reception.
Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com moved the Jaguars up two spots:
21. (23) Jacksonville Jaguars - The big improvement was on the offense against the Broncos. The defense struggled against the pass, and now must go west to face Philip Rivers. That won't be good.
EDIT: SBNation had the Jaguars at 0-1, I'll get it fixed.

Besides Cox....
There were a few plays the D gave up some big plays, but frankly 90% of them were on Cox….he seemed to fall down quite a few times. Hopefully its just 1 game and he can step it up this week or its going to be pick on Derrick day again…..The D line, LB’s, Mathis played great and the safeties even did enough to keep us competitive (all things considered).
Nonetheless you need two cornerbacks in this passing league to win…even the Jets 2nd and 3rd corners got picked on last Monday Night. We need Cox to show up this week and get back to form.
GO JAGS! If we win this game, Vic’s Power Rankings will prove to be more accurate (JAGS at 12).
I think they should...
start Cox but pull him out consistently to make sure he doesn’t give up anything big. No doubt in my mind that he’s gonna be picked on big time by the Chargers. He is the weakest link.
I wish....
I had a load speaker big enought to yell at these dumb ass yahoo’ooos….that call them selfs sports analist….what a joke they are….
Yes we still need work, but at least give credit where its due, and not just harp on the negitive…..
WE ARE JAGUARS!!!!!…Its us against that Nation….
Mess With the Best Die like the Rest
Seriously SBNation.com ??
The Jaguars will need more than 98 yards from Maurice Jones-Drew to be consistent winners.
So 1500+ yards isn’t enough ?
DG is the best we have and help is not on the way. I realize he's not perfect, but I feel a lot better about him at QB than I do the O-Line, DB's and LB's ability to cover a TE.
didn't you know, according SBnation the only way the Jaguars win....
is if Maurice Jones-Drew breaks 2000 yards rushing, has 1000 receiving, and plays free safety
"I’m going to punish him. If he hits me, fine, but if I catch him, believe me, I’m going to get the better shot." - Fred Taylor
Dont forget....
hes got to play CB while playing saftey for us to win….
Mess With the Best Die like the Rest
MJD
is our team. He’s the only player we have capable of doing anything that remotely resembles playing football. Duh.
DOH....

BREAKING NEWS: JACK DEL RIO HAS BEEN FIRED
Maurice Jones-Drew will now take over as Interim Coach
"I’m going to punish him. If he hits me, fine, but if I catch him, believe me, I’m going to get the better shot." - Fred Taylor
More....
Breaking news, Gene Smith is now working for MJD….What wait MJD just fired Wayne Weaver too….UHOH watch out hes taking over the entire franchise…and playing….what a stud…

It only gets weird to me...

I don't think anyone can say the AFC South isn't the hardest division in the NFL now
Using those same sites and the new SI.com power rankings, the average team power ranking in the AFC South is: 11.42
And in most of those polls the Jags were in the 20’s….i have a feeling by the end of the season both the Jaguars ranks and the AFC South’s ranks will be a lot higher.

by higher i mean closer to #1 lol

The sad thing is
if you ask someone point blank which is the best division, most people would say a different division.
Oh NO! The Jags won't get to play in the BCS National Championship!!!
I knew they should have tried to run up the score on Denver!
Ignore the hype; look at the results.
Don Banks
Banks has the Jaguars at 22. Not surprising but who remembers his comment last week about the Jaguars only sellout being when Tebow comes to town. Well, here is his comment his week. ENJOY!
I heard it from Jags folk last week about my aside that Tim Tebow’s visit might prompt the only sellout of the season in Jacksonville. Not true, I was told repeatedly. The first four or five home games of the year look like sellouts and will be shown on local TV. See what you can do when you drop ticket prices and tarp off part of your stadium’s upper deck? Oh, and very nice win over Denver, Jaguars. But the bar gets set higher with this week’s trip to San Diego.

Guess who HASN'T had a blackout!
Tampa had one and San Diego is about to have one yet no mention of them. Just another example of lazy reporting.
