With the signing of Trent Edwards, should the thought of trading Garrard be entertained? If Trent can come in and do just as good as Garrard, it would make a lot of economical sense and clear the way for whichever QB the Jags draft next year. It would be a very risky move but it is something to think about, especially if Garrard isn't able to get out of his recent funk. If Edwards begins to outplay Garrard in practice and wins the starting job from him, it could very well happen. Although whatever trade value Garrard would've held before will plummet if Gene attempts to trade him under those conditions. What do you think, would it be a smart move?
