2010 Jacksonville Jaguar Community Projections
Thanks to everyone who participated in the season projections post. I finally had the time to sit down and punch in the numbers. According to BCC, the projected stats for 2010 look like
3565 yards passing
20 Touchdowns
11 interceptions
Click to find out the rest
1305 yards rushing
265 carries
14 touchdowns
74 Receptions
1011 yards receiving
8 touchdowns
Sacks
32
Overall Record
8-8
Some interesting tid bits I took away from this
While the yards projected for Garrard are on point with what he's done so far in his career, BCC is projecting him to have a career best 20 touchdown passes this year.
While the projected records went anywhere from 5-11 to 11-5, I would say 75% of them fell in between 7-9 and 9-7, which is exactly what I expect from the team.

Where do these numbers come from?
They all look a little inflated to me.
There was a survey...
that BCC members filled out a week or so ago. These are the tabulated results. Not odd that they would be on the high side coming from us hyped fans!
I think the stats look very reasonable
8-8 is the most important, and I think that is dead on. Our offense should be passing more this year, especially to Rashad Jennings, which will boost DG’s yards and TDs without raising ints. I feel Mojo and MSW’s yards are high, but otherwise, it’s all very possible.

I really see a 9 or 10 win season...
but this weekend will do a bunch to verify that (or not) for me!
I'm jacked for this weekend
flying in for game, tailgate menu already planned, and new teal gear ready to be worn at a game. Excited!
8-8
I agree with that right dead on
However would 8-8 keep Jack Del Average-o in town would David keep his job for next year too with an 8-8 record?

3500 yards 20 TDs
Wow I’m not even sure Mrs Garrard believes that

Why not 3500 and 20?
he’s had over 3500 both seasons in which he has played all 16 games, and had 15 TDs in both of those seasons… It doesn’t seem too much of a stretch to add 5 TDs with the anticipated emphasis on the passing game. Also he had 18 Tds in 2007 with over 100 LESS pass attempts.
With those kind of offensive stats
Our defense would have to really suck to finish 8-8

I'm with you
I’d guess our offense around the board won’t be quite that strong.
If those stats hold true....
3500 yards, and 20 TDs to only 11 interceptions, no way does this team not make the playoffs!
Per Game
DG 9: 218 YDS passing, 1.25 TDs passing, .68 ints

I think Garrard is going to finish
with around 3700 and 20-23 TDs and 10 ints. There are too many weapons now that he should be able to pull this off. If he cant then he really is mediocre.
