Ok so now that the season is over its time that a million mock drafts start to pop up. So out of boredom here is mine. I tried to pick guys that not only would fill needs but also be someone that I could see Gene possibly picking. This is the first mock draft I've ever done so go easy on me.
1st Round: Rahim Moore FS 6' 1" 195 lbs UCLA
Moore is a Junior so this picks really just depends on whether or not he declares or not. If he does declare he would become the top FS prospect. The biggest diss on Moore is that he isn't the strongest tackler but he makes up for it in his pass coverage ability. Plus Moore was a team captain for the Bruins this year.
2nd Round Pat Devlin QB 6' 4" 222 lbs Delaware
Devlin a big time arm and prototypical NFL size. He matches that size with a quick release. He's a team captain who is leading who has currently led his team to the 1-AA championship game.
3rd Round Casey Matthews LB 6' 2" 235 lbs Oregon
First of all let me just say he has the pedigree to be NFL star. His Father is Clay Matthews Sr, his uncle is Bruce Matthews and his brother is Clay Matthews Jr. Casey is a good player in his own right he leads the Oregon Ducks in tackles and could be plugged right away as our starting MLB.
4th Round Jake Kilpatrick C 6' 3" 305 lbs TCU
Kilpatrick has has almost identical size to Brad Meester and was the anchor of the TCU offensive line this year. He also didn't start playing football until his senior year in high school so I think he still has alot of upside to him.
4th Round Jarard Cribbs CB 5' 10" 180 lbs Lehigh University
Cribbs was named a First team FCS All-American this year. He led the Patriot league with Seven interceptions this year and was named a team captain.
5th Round Kyle Glazier LB 6' 1" 220 lbs Western Illinois
Glazier is a tackling machine he lead his led the league in tackles with averaging 12.8 tackles a game. He was named a First team FCS All-American. He was also a team captain.
6th Round Cecil Shorts III WR 6' 2" 210 lbs Mt Union
Before you start to diss Mt. Union keep in mind that Pierre Garcon played there and think that's working out pretty well for the Colts. Shorts is coming off his third straight season with over 1,000 yards receiving. This year he had 63 catches for 1,106 yards and 17 touchdowns.
So what do you think?
