The Jacksonville Jaguars are struggling. This team is not as bad as the record shows. They should at least be 2-3 and in the right situation be 4-1. They face a tough game this Sunday at Pittsburgh. Towels will be waved and Beer will be drunk and a football game will occur. Can the Jaguars win? Maybe. If the Jaguars want to salvage the season is it a must win? Yes.
Only 5 teams have made the playoffs after starting 1-4 in the current system. Only one team in NFL history has made the playoffs after starting 1-5. That team was the 1970 Cincinnati Bengals who remarkably started 1-6. If the Jaguars can come out with a victory against a good, but old and injury struck, Steelers team it could spark this team and this city. With Indy out of the AFC South picture, and the Jaguars chances looking bleak. This is the week where the hometown team needs to step up. Injury riddled Houston goes to Baltimore in a tough game. Tennessee is on a bye and the Jags need to take advantage. The Best Case scenario puts the Jags one game behind the Texans and a game and a half behind the Titans. It will be hard but a win sets up a game against Baltimore on Monday Night Football. Last year (to put it kindly) the Jaguars got embarrassed on MNF.
It's now or never for the Jaguars and Jack Del Rio
Can they do it?
