Change the Duuuuuval to Jaaaaaaaaayville

My Jags have several fans outside of Duval County and we need a lot more of them. I'm sure those fans could care less about Duval County, but love the Jacksonville Jaguars.... Why not change the chant to stress the J'ville name more. For the record, I am proud to say I live in Duval County, but I am much prouder to say I support the J'VILLE JAGUARS!!!!!!!!!! This may be a dumb post, but think about it at least.

However, whenever it is done in the stadium, I see quite a few eyes rolling from Jag fans outside of Duval.

Like I said, it’s no big deal and I don’t really care, I just think we need as many Jags fans as possible.

I'm not from Duval and the only time's I've ever been have been for Jaguars games

And I really like the cheer. I feel like that’s exactly what the team needs. To identify itself with the town its from and build a pride amongst the home crowd. A sense of home and place.

For the Jaguars, the ideal scenario has always been to develop into the Green Bay of the south. Establishing a sense of tradition and home that only those from the actual area understand is exactly what they should be looking for.

Was just wondering what others thought.

However the team name is the J-ville Jags. I’m for whatever will make the stadium rock and get behind the team. I would love for our crowd to be feared by visiting teams instead of the butt of everyone’s joke.

but technically, the city of Jacksonville is the entire county. That is why it is the largest city in the country (by area).

When is it a bad thing to be unique? Duval chanting is us and completely original. It fits the venue

Thank you all for not bashing me. I did admit to it being a dumb point.. lol

Like I said, I don’t mind it at all. I will say that the stadium gets very loud when it’s done. I am very proud of my fellow fans that cheer as passionately as I do. I especially appreciate the perspective from someone outside of Duval. It’s good to know how you see it. In past games I have literally seen people roll their eyes in disgust at it so I was curious. The players seem to get pumped when it’s done, so I’m all for it.

I will proudly end by saying DUUUUVAAAAALLL!!!!!!!!!!!!
