We CANNOT allow 5 sacks
I didn't watch the game so please enlighten me. Which sacks were the fault of the O-line and which were the fault of Gabbert making rookie mistakes? If it's mostly the O-line (as I suspect) then that's unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable. How on earth can we expect our mediocre receiving corps and our developing rookie QB to get anything done if Gabbert has no time to throw or is getting thrown on the ground. Geez. I'm sick and tired of this. Somebody get us a win.

part of the reason we had five sacks
Was because A) it was the steelers
B) Gabbert held on to the ball a little bit too long in some cases
C) We are missing Monroe and Britton
there were a few sacks
that as soon as Gabbert dropped back, he was sacked. 1 sack was Gabbert’s fault.
Can't stand the truth?
Most of them were the fault of the O-line
I’d put maybe one on Gabbert but he avoided about 3 or 4 more sacks, the line was terrible today

Gabbert has no elusiveness in the pocket
It’s worrisome.
Do you watch the games? cause it doesn't seem like it

AMEN. Apparently Robert Ethan doesn't watch the games lol.
Gabbert was running for his life back there and elusiveness DEFINITELY isn’t the issue. Smh…we really gotta get a blog for ppl that actually watch (and hopefully know the game). Some of these comments are just damned ridiculous.

I thought Gabbert got a little scared a few times
I’d say its mostly the offensive line combined with the Steelers being really good at pressuring the QB, but Gabbert got jittery on more then a few occasions I thought.
I remember 1 plan
Tried to run as soon as he catch the ball

I’m guessing that when you’re required to shuffle the O-line nearly every single week, there will be no time for cohesiveness. Yes, I do expect all NFL players to be able to move to different positions with better results, but doing it all season long (so far) just doesn’t work. Be glad we have some sort of think depth to be able to do the shuffling.
And I did notice Blaine getting a little antsy too early after the ball was snapped and he really didn’t have anyone coming straight at him. I don’t know if he’s going to be a pocket passer or a mobile one. Gotta give it more time, eh?

sacks
2 sacks were gabberts fault, he felt pressure from the d-ends coming up the field that the tackles were washing down field, blaine needed to step up in the pocket but blaine panicked and ran right into the defender who was engaged. i know at least 2 sacks were from an over load blitz were we had no hot routes (that i could see) and blaine got sacked.
