It's time to end the Del Rio era in Jacksonville
Fresh off of a 5 game losing streak, it's time to get a fresh perspective on things in Jacksonville and OFFICIALLY bring the already dead Del Rio era in Jacksonville to an end.
It's all ready really over, but it's time to formally dismiss Jack Del Rio and name an interim head coach. Aside from the obvious candidates of the coordinators Mel Tucker and Dirk Koetter, I think we have a chance at seeing Linebackers coach Mark Duffner or player favorite Defensive Line coach Joe Cullen get a look at the head coaching position -- at least for the interim.
There were just too many mistakes that a coach that has been tenured as long as Del Rio has to be making. We face the same thing time and time again; absolutely dreadful clock management and just plain bad personnel groupings on the field.
When the Jaguars ran the 3rd and 4 play against the Steelers with Deji Karim in the background, I practically choked on my glass of water. Where is Jones-Drew for this CRITICAL 3rd down? Was he shook up? Okay, then how about taking a shot on a short pass to our pro-bowl tight end Marcedes Lewis?
This loss hurts. Now it's time to shake things up. Shake the coaching tree and lets see what falls out. It seems to have worked wonder for the San Francisco 49ers. Did they make massive player changes? No, their spark is derived directly from the coaching. We need that in Jacksonville, and we need it sooner then later.

can JDR this week
then after being embarassed by the Ravens on MNF next week attribute it to transition period under the intrim HC
well in my experience
when the Jags are televised in NYC, they play poorly
So while I don’t think they are bad enough to warrant being blown out by baltimore, i think they will be.
Once again, the 49ers situation is nothing like ours
Will people please stop trying to make the comparison.

explain
if anything i think they were a more extreme situation with an overall worse roster. they were struglling to compete in the nfc west, and the jags were managing to compete in the AFC South.
No they did not have a worse roster
That defense had a couple of play makers and they have a decent O-line with Gore, Davis, and Crabtree. The thing that was holding them back last year was their awful QB play. Harbaugh has gotten good play out of Alex Smith and thats the reason for their success. And nobody struggles to play in the nfc west, your always in it, always.

You just said it..
Harbaugh has gotten good play out of Alex Smith
Harbaugh has got it. He maximized the potential of the players on his roster through coaching — through leadership. Harbaugh has his team playing at a high level.
I'm giving that credit to Tucker
JDR made the call to kick a FG mind you

I don't think you took me seriously. If you want it unbanned, email an admin. But, for now, your Stampede Blue privileges are done.
So now we're deciding who gets to keep credit for what? LOL...this is hilarious. I'll blame Del Rio for this but won't give him credit for this?
You’re better than that Joe…(I read your posts a lot…I know you are). But that’s one hell of one backwards ass logic there.

Help me trend on twitter
Hey guys I also believe that Del Rio should be fired so lets start the #firedelrio trend on twitter
Hire
Rob Ryan. Just for kicks. Even though he is a defensive coach, I feel he wouldn’t mind taking a shot or two down the field.
No way.
he uses a 3-4 base. That would be going backwards.

exactly
what is appelaing about him is his defensive scheme, which is going to be worthless in jacksonville
One step
backwards. We picked up all the talent we need for the 4-3. If you are going to get Rob Ryan, just promote Tucker.

Here's my 2 cents
I think it is time to get rid of JDR. Every time he is shown on the sideline, he looks like an uncomfortable lost puppy dog. I see no emotion coming from him at all. Granted I only see him a few times a games, but those are key moments where he should be showing something. We also have way to many “stupid mistakes.” For example….How many times have we had too many or too few guys on the field this year? That falls squarely on the coach’s shoulders.
Sorry JDR, but you have got to go.
