Report: Jaguars make roster moves at CB

Aaron Wilson of National Football Post reports on Twitter that the Jaguars have signed cornerback Walter McFadden to their practice squad. McFadden was a 5th round draft pick of the Oakland Raiders in the 2010 draft, but never made it on to the active roster during the 2010 season. He was released by the Raiders prior to the 2011 season.

In addition to the reported signing of McFadden, cornerback T.J. Heath revealed on his Twitter that he has been activated to the 53 man roster of the Jaguars. Heath is a rookie that signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Jacksonville State. He has spent the entire 2011 season thus far on the Jacksonville practice squad.

The promotion of Heath to the active roster means that the Jaguars will have to make room for him by releasing a player or sending a player to the injured reserve.

This could be a Derek Cox injury move

but Mathis’ name came up yesterday as a trade rumor.

I'd rather be golfing.

I guess I should’ve been more specific.

Rod Isaac was injured yesterday, possible he goes to IR.

by Alfie Crow on Oct 17, 2011 6:09 PM EDT reply actions

wouldn't hurt anything would it?

On IR, they can use the facilities but not practice, correct?

*face-palm.

I commented on a “practice injury” last week – I jumped the gun.

I'd rather be golfing.

Isnt He always???

He is the MSW of his draft class……dude is always hurt…….(altho we could label Miller that guy too)

hope he stays on the field one year and gets our picks worth since we wasted more than one on him.

That draft class is really injury prone…..Britton, Cox & Miller…..not to mention Jennings and Monroe have seen there fare share.

I think I would

although it is obviously purely a theoretical

Only if

Osi is healthy. Otherwise, long term Thomas is the better player.
