Jaguars make several roster moves
The Jaguars announced in a pair of press releases today the placement of TE Zach Miller, DE Austen Lane and CB Rod Issac to the injured reserve. The movement of Miller and Lane to the I.R. were reported earlier in the day, while the Issac injury was announced following an MRI on his hamstring, which he hurt in the week six game against the Steelers.
To fill the roster spots, the Jaguars have only formally announced the signing of CB T.J. Heath to the active roster. They have also reportedly signed WR Mike Sims-Walker and now it is being reported by Brian McIntyre that the Jaguars have signed TE Martin Rucker from the Cowboys practice squad to fill the final spot.
Rucker is a 4th year pro who has seen action in 11 career games after spending time with the Browns, Eagles and Cowboys. He was drafted in the 4th round of the 2008 draft by the Browns out of the University of Missouri.
The Jaguars also announced the release of Jamar Newsome from the practice squad, leaving one spot that has yet to be filled.

really really really really bad.
Someone's gotta take the blame right? Unfortunately, that person is JDR.
He look's broken anyways, I can see it in his eyes.
Looks like a top 5 pick year to me
What position should we draft first, with MSW back, I think we have to adress the pass rush problem that has been a glaring hole for years. Who knows what to expect from AK, Mincey is solid, Lane is developing and now on IR….is it just me or is Gene drafting injury prone players? Not that you can predict some of these things, but thats how many draft picks to the IR? Lane, Cox, Jennings, Mcgee, D’Smith, Isaac. 6 off the top of my head.

That is ridiculous
We aren’t picking first….and if we did we would trade it for a bunch of picks

I don’t see the jags picking two top 10 qbs in back to back drafts. At this point in time, there are too many other areas that need to be drafted for (o line, WR, de, cb, te,).
If all we were missing was a franchise qb, then I would totally be on the luck band wagon.

well if the bengals can get 2 1st round picks from Carson
The jags can get a entire decade of pick from Luck’s trade…
won't happen
not gonna get luck without a catastrophe on our hands…. we have gabbert. he’s a rookie who has started 3 games? unless he goes down in a serious injury where he wouldnt even be back next year…. then, maybe
a lot of folks are just too impatient and want everything right here, right now, damn the wait… they hit “88” on the microwave so they don’t have to punch “90”… etc…

I agree. These things take time. Remember “’the foreheads” rookie season?

I never put 1 minute on the microwave...
I always put 1:11…its easier….
:66...
is faster than 1:11, and it’s closer to one minute anyhow. Just tryin to help. :)

Ridiculous.
A warning may be needed – we get it you think we should have kept Garrard – enough already.

Some of these
injuries are not big deals. Something tells me this is more of a move to develop/cultivate more players for next year than it is players suferring season ending injuries.
No, have not heard that! i hope not!

Did they practice Tuesday?
I know Tuesday is the typical day off but not sure if they practice then for a MNF game.

Whoa, whoa, whoa..
I don’t get on BCC for a day and everything changes .lol. Its a shame about Miller, love his potential, just wish he could stay healthy to develop it. Lane will be a hit in the rotation but Chick has showed some good things in limited action, maybe he will see more now. Sad to see Issac go to, learning a new position and a season injury will set him back. MSW is back, please don’t be so fragile this time..haha

I'm not really worried about
Issac learning his new position. His loss will be mostly felt on special teams, because the likelihood of him every seeing the field at safety is highly unlikely with the depth we already have there.
First thing.
Isn’t great to say we have depth at safety after that debacle last year. But honestly I think they will be ok on special teams, they still have young, fast DBs that can help fill his role there.

I don't think
Issac was that great on special teams anyhow. And Prosinski is doing a great job of covering punts 95% of the way, but he’s got to learn to finish with a good tackle. He’s been close to making a great play, but has com up short a few times.
Yeah I've seen that too
hopefully he can wrap up
