List some positives
I thought I'd mention a couple positive things about our Jags.
1....Since taking over as starter, Gabbert has thrown a TD pass in 4 straight games. Once the WRs start holding onto the passes that actually hit them in the hands, this stat will continue and get even better.
2....MJD ranks 3rd in the NFL in rushing yards. With Gabbert continuing to improve, teams will not be able to focus on MJD and he will be even more of a weapon than he already is.
3....Our Defense is greatly improved from last year and keeps getting better.
Just think fellow Jags fans.... Once we get a coach who can actually mix it up and get the team to perform for the entire game, we should be a really good team.
Please add to the list and let's get some positive thoughts going around about our Jags. The future looks really good.

Posluzny seems to be a really good player.
He should be a big part of the defense for the next few years.
Fidelis Ad Mortem
+1
Like the rest of the D, he seems to get better each game.
+1 is in fact a positive
whereas -1 is not. Good observation

2011 Jags are easier to watch
Unlike previous years, the Jags are competitive in their loses(other than the Jets game). I feel what was frustrating for a jag fan was the consistency. One game they will look great and the next game they get blown out. Either they played really good or really bad and a lot of the jags losses in years past were caused by fumbles and interceptions.
Though I like to see us win, this team is entertaining.
D-line is coming of age
I specifically mean DE. Between Mincey and Roth we have two pretty good every downs players and John Chick is also making his mark with 2 sacks in the last two games.
If Kampman can even start looking like his old self this D-line will be sick by the end of the year.

I'm willing to drink the Kool-ade, but I'm hungry for the truth.
It's funny where our DEs came from
considering how we focused some big draft picks on it. Glad we found decent fellas until we get our star DE…wherever he may be.
Great points....
Also, only 2 int’s for a rookie QB is pretty good.

48% completion is bad

Keeping it positive...
Jack is doing a really nice job with all the players. Wayne should think about extending his contract to guarantee all the positivity that is going on right now.

That would be a huge positive in my book
in case you couldn’t tell from my sarcastic tone…
I agree with you.
The potential of a new coach is a huge positive. I can’t wait for Weaver to finally pull the trigger.
btw…. I definitely saw the sarcasm….. JDR and awesome job is a huge oxymoron… lol
Please reread the original post.
You’ll see that I stated that once the receivers actually hold onto the balls that hit them in the hands is numbers will increase.
He has suffered from drops
but he has also ovethrown a lot of open guys. It’s a process, but some of the 48% is still very much on him.
Gabbert's 1.6% interception rate is the 8th lowest in the NFL.
Oh look my tumblr, where you can find all my photoshops and other crap
"Damnation seize my soul if I give you quarters, or take any from you."
I know, that is what is kinda scary.
He really isn’t making mistakes (interceptions) yet. I thought all rookies QB are suppose to throw 3 interceptions a game?
For comparison Newton throws a pick 3.9% of the time, Dalton 2.6%.

It's also...
a part of the reason he has tooken so many sacks. The o-line is also a big reason why too but if his guy isn’t open, he’ll wait for them to come open or he’ll tuck and run. Usually when he tries to wait for the guy get open, he’ll be sacked before it happens.
actually not really true....
if you watch the game, Gabs tends to release the ball before the receiver is open, hes throwing to where the receivers is suppoed to be instead of where he is at. thats probably a big reason why hes not thrwoing alot of picks.

I didn't say...
anything about why he hasn’t thrown many picks but about why he is getting sacked at times. I’m well aware of Gabberts ability to anticipate where the receiver is supposed to be but if it’s not there, he’ll wait for it or he’ll tuck and run. Which is what I said. He isn’t throwing many picks because he’s a good decision maker, he just needs to get better at getting to his other reads faster.
I just don't want to burst anyone bubble....
but the positive fact is that we can, and I believe we will, take this division. When that happens, you will find JDR on the sidelines again. I consider that positive, but I know that I am in the minority.
You probably think Obama is doing a great job too!

Way to bring politics to the football site
and do you think the old fella and VP Palin would have us back to the inflated success of the 90s? Let’s stick to the game.
ok. no more politics from either of you, please. we already had our semi-lengthy religious debacle! haha

no...you're right
not the time or the place. I started by letting someone else know and threw my two cents in too. I should have stuck with my title and left it at that.
but to be honest
Not sure if either party would be successful against our problems currently. And let’s leave it at that

You make a good point.
I would love to see the fire back in JDR. He used to be a lot more lively and into the game. I’m just tired of hearing excuses from him. I loved him as a player and would love for him to use the same guts and emotion as a coach.
