Jaguars Sleeper of the Week: Mike Sims-Walker
The Jacksonville Jaguars are a team hard pressed to find fantasy football sleepers. They've basically got Maurice Jones-Drew and that's it so far on the season. If you've been crazy enough to have Jason Hill in your line up the last two weeks it's paid off and I applaud your desperation/homerism. This week however, newly signed Mike Sims-Walker should be playing against the Ravens. I don't know if he will officially "start", but I imagine he will be heavily involved in the rotation.
Sims-Walker should be available in most leagues on the waiver wire and if you're in a bind because of a bye week or injuries, he could be a gamble play that may play off. Sims-Walker should be able to work the middle of the field for rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert, something no Jaguars wide receiver did all that well the past 6 games. Sims-Walker has the ability to have a 7-catch, 120 yard, 2TD type of day but he's also got the ability to be completely invisible.

Yeah… I have to pick a “sleeper” each Saturday… Tough when you have the worst offense in the NFL, heh.
Worst passing offense*

My guess
is they keep Thomas and Hill in on 2WR sets to start but bring MSW in on 3WR sets. My hope is that the Jaguars try to test Chris Carr and Jimmy Smith when they are in. Both are coming off injury and might be a step slower then normal so we might be able to exploit that fact when they are in.
"I love lamp"
I've always liked him for his physicality
he’s not the fastest guy, but he doesn’t go down easily and he blocks well down field

Believe
It or not, he probably has the best game speed of any receiver on the roster right now.

I expect
we’ll see a focused and determined MSW. He’s happy to be back and it’s MNF. Hopefully he has a big game – he’s certainly capable.
I'd rather be golfing.
A TRUE SLEEPER
Sims-Walker will do good in his return , he will test the Raven secondary ……Picking him to get 6 catches for 92 yards and a TD on Monday night . He will come out fired up guys !!!

I always thought MSW was the BETTER receiver we’ve had since Keenan and Jimmy….any arguments?

*STUPID swype.
As I meant to type was all things considered, yeah, MSW has been one of our better receivers since Smith and McCardell. But then again we’ve had r. Williams, m. Jones, d. northcutt, troy williamson, ect.. lol so that isn’t saying a whole lot

Not really a surprise, he is the best receiver on the team.
Thats not saying much from what we have had, but if he plays inspired and focused, he could be one of the better receivers in the league not elite but very, very good. His problems have always been mental imo, hopefully not getting resigned and then getting released may help him gain a little fire.

Usually...usually
Players on one-year deals play out of their mind in hopes of a huge pay day. Hopefully MSW plays out of his mind

Here's my stats prediction
Blaine Gabbert: 18/30 190 yards 2 TD 1 INT
Maurice Jones-Drew: 26 carries 134 yards 1 TD
Mike Thomas: 6 receptions 61 yards
Mike Sims-Walker: 4 receptions 53 yards 1 TD
Jason Hill: 1 reception 41 yards
Marcedes Lewis: 5 receptions 40 yards 1 TD

I'd say...
that should be a victory if we score three TD’s. Especially with the way the defense is playing.
I agree it should be....
but what i mean is even if it isnt, id still be overyly excited and happy.

I can't see Lewis having 5 catches
I’d love to see it but I seriously doubt it will happen. The rest I can see and if they have that kind of production out of the Offense, I see a win. Flacco hasn’t really played too hot so if they can limit the turnovers on offense they have a chance to get this one.

Why?
Good hands, but I don’t see to many plays in the passing game happening when there is a corner covering him

Glad
To have Mike back. He was one of my favorite players while he was here. I’m not sure if he’ll ever be a legit number 1, but he is levels above all the number 3s we have on the roster right now.

I dont think the Jag's will pull off the Victory
And i Hate to be negative. Unless the Jag’s D’ can play ALL game long like it did against the Steelers in the 2nd Half and the Offense actually comes to life I just dont see it. I know Flacco hasn’t played all that well but there D’ seems legit. Who knows, this could be our Indy or Dallas game of last year when know one thought we’d win and we did and then this team got Hot
