Eben Britton Injury Update: Jaguars lineman listed as doubtful
The Jacksonville Jaguars could be without offensive lineman Eben Britton tonight when they take on the Baltimore Ravenson Monday Night Football. Britton's back injury flared up last weekend in Pittsburgh and he was forced to miss the game, leaving the Jaguars offensive line to once again shuffle. Britton is officially listed as doubtful on the injury report for the game, so it's unlikely he'll even be active. If Britton is active, he'll be used for emergency reasons only, similar to Eugene Monroe against the Bengals.
If Britton cannot go, it's likely that rookie Will Rackley will once again get the start at left guard, however veteran lineman Jason Spitz will be available for the third time this season, dealing with his own injuries. Rackley opened the season as a starter but struggled out of the gate. The rookie lineman has been responsible for at least one sack in every game he's played in. Against the Baltimore Ravens defense, Jaguars rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert will need all the help he can get.

so we're looking like this tonight...
Monroe Rackley Meester Nwaneri Whimper
I’d rather see this:
Monroe Whimper Meester Nwaneri Bradfield
with Rackley and Spitz spelling the guards every so often

I don't know that Whimper can play guard
And I would put Bradfield at RT
Monroe needs to stay put, he is just coming into his own
I doubt it will matter much though; whoever faces Ngata is going to have a tough time
Oh No....
Damn! I would not start Rackley. Give Jason Spitz a shot. Rather have an injured Spitz than a healthy Rackley. Hes struggle to often this year.

I dont think Whimper is a swing player.
He dont play mutiple positions like Britten…

I think whimper would be better than rackley at this point

Don't you think
that if the coaches, the guys who get to see them up close in practice etc…, agreed with you then they’d probably have him in there ?
you think they're throwing Rackley into the fire to get him battle tested?
Clearly the kid is struggling or as Joe Namath says: “struggg ulllll innggg”

Unfortunately
just because one guy isn’t doing well, doesn’t mean the next guy is any better. Just think of the Jags safety situation last year we kept changing the faces, but that didn’t make it any better.
Well you'd hope so
It wasn’t second guessing the coaches as much as it was shrieking at the thought of rackley going against the Ravens D

It reminds me of 2005 with Barnes as a rookie. After the Indy game where Leftwich almost died, it was like “Really, can it be worse?”
If Rackley doesn’t show up against the Ravens the 5 sacks Gabbert took against the steelers could seem like nothing

I look for the Jags to come out throwing
Everybody knows how well the run game is for the Ravens, so what do you do? You come out throwing the football. Slants, Slants, Screens, Draws, and more Slants.
Sims-Walker should be able to get position on their corners. Mike Thomas should work the seams to free up Lewis. Lewis! My brother, where have you been lately.
You got your money, now prove your worth it. He’s gotta help the young QB out.

Just no slants to J-Hill

One great thing about MSW
being back is, not only is he a viable receiving threat, he attracts attention away from Thomas and Lewis.
I'd rather be golfing.
I wonder if part of the reason
that Marcedes’ stats are down might be because he’s being kept in to block more often with the ever shuffling and poor offensive line play ?
He got 8 passes his way last week
and caught 2. We’ll see tonight. I feel the only thing that will keep us in this game is Joe Flacco

Flacco is really not very good
He has his moments.

Heres to Flacco being our "secret weapon" as was Grossman for the Colts in the S.B.

Flacco is not such a bad player
He has had it rough in some games, but been pretty good in others
It is sort of hard to tell which Flacco you are going to see
How many were catchable?
